(I did Philosophy undergrad and honestly never read a single Nietzsche work. Have to look up his name to spell it correctly.)
My philosophy professor once joked that there was no point teaching neitzsche anymore since coke and heroin were illegal. He also call him knee-cheese whenever he was brought up, for fun.
Oh I love philosophy professors and their personal hot takes! I had one that was obsessed with Heidegger and used half a lecture to argue with himself about his nazi allegations. Amazing to see in person
edit// uh. that probably sounded a bit too cryptic if someone doesn't know who Heidegger was. He was a nazi, but the controversy in philosophy is how much it affected his work

I for one would be pleased if this level of honesity was normal online. Admitting that no one reads Nietzschean works is the first step.

I resent the fact that I read him and understood what he was saying.
What I wouldn't give for the blissful ignorance of those for whom his works are just word salad or the insane ramblings of a deranged lunatic...
I would trade my soul for that, only I already lost my soul by reading and understanding Nietzsche.
They should really put his books in the "restricted section," sealed with an ouroboros, and a warning that says "the words contained herein are dangerous. Discretion is advised."
I tried to read it, but I was filtered by the first chapter being a rant about how no one wanted to buy his books. (I think it's Genealogy that does that?)
And then they kissed.
