You delivered some good points. I also work with publishers.

Ad blockers have had an impact, but I think the bigger driver is that premium demand has migrated spending to connected TV (CTV, showing ads on an Internet connected large screen). Publishers just don’t get the rates they used to for web and mobile inventory, even if they’re doing everything right.

I think when another trendy channel like AI ads straight to your brain or whatever pops up we will see another migration.

If you didn’t know what magic was that first match would be so confusing.

I tipped $20. I haven’t drank alcohol for three days and smoked half as much as normal. Saved $20 minimum and thought I’d pass it on to a good cause.

Didn’t notice the option and just tipped! Thanks for your post.

85% of the funding was provided by the European Union. It was one of Croatia’s main stipulations for joining the EU.

A Chinese state owned company did win the contract to build the bridge.

County Jail on charges of resisting arrest and battery. Afterward, he was released "still wearing nothing but his underwear and a disposable hospital outfit; he had no wallet, phone or money," the complaint states. "He did not remember Alice's phone number in the jail and they would not help him contact her, so he walked in his hospital slippers about a half mile to a gas station," where workers helped him call a taxi.

I’m familiar with the case but not this detail. Seriously, fuck these thugs.

On All Communities feed the image preview is now the card style. When I go into individual communities the posts are compact.

Anyone else seeing the same?

Scale. It’s a better quality audience but executives like BIG NUMBERS to make the juice worth the squeeze.

I think the investment supporting is worth it in the long run! Traditional social is basically a shitty rev share to reach a larger audience.

Attribution (how do I prove the ad I bought actually influenced a person’s decision to do something) is still not a solved problem. If a company’s furniture business increased revenue 10% in a quarter, what percent of that was due to marketing. Also which campaign attributed the most to that increase? Because companies often run multiple campaigns through different channels and vendors.

If I can prove spending 50M on TV ads resulted in 150M in additional sales, that company would probably spend 150M on the next campaign to try and generate 450M.

The problem is what kind of data it takes to prove attribution. If I could say ID 123 saw an impression on Jan 31, made an Internet search in that vertical on Feb 1, and traveled to a location with that product on Feb 2. That would be pretty fucking convincing, but it also involves knowing ID 123 person’s activities in extreme granularity.

That’s a use case for selling furniture, but what else could you accomplish? Honey pot people seeking abortions in places where it use illegal? Identify people who maybe politically subversive. Scams on scams.

Pretty much anyone with a budget and a goal can access a commercial surveillance network.

What the fuck am I looking at here?

I'm looking at potentially switching from Comcast to Frontier Fiber in the South Bay. Advertised service is 1gbps symmetrical.

I'm a little wary of Frontier as a provider. Can anyone recommend or share your experience of their fiber service?
