there is never going to be a compelling argument against just killing these fucking people

[–] oliveoil@hexbear.net 20 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Cost-benefit and opportunity cost of summary fedposts vs re-educations on a case-by-case basis.

[–] Kuori@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago (3 children)

the virgin expenditure of resources to convert your ideological enemies vs the chad just fucking shooting everybody

i'll put whatever nerds you were going to task with figuring all of that out on the bean counting line and everyone will be better off for it (except for the people who get shot i guess)

Conservatives when the world is theirs and all their shitty decisions get forced on the rest of us:

Conservatives are unhappy even when they win because their ideology is fundamentally incapable of solving problems

It's been years since I listened to ChapoTrapHouse but I remember a thing where they said the reactionary/republican dream is control the presidency, both houses the supreme courts with a 100% majority, the films, the culture, everything total one party state victory.

And the lib/democrat dream is a slim majority where they have to reach across the aisle and all opinions are allowed to debate.

Just gonna repeat myself from another comment:

Cheering that a woke person was executed by ice is just another loyalty test for the maga cult. I strongly disagree with anyone suggesting it has anything to do with "differing perspectives."

They're well aware (on a conscious level) that this hog was never really in any danger, they just know better than to admit it because they know that would get them rejected by other chuds, and that's all they really care about in their lives anymore.

I expect this attitude to intensify as ICE becomes more violent. These people are all in, ICE could (and I fear, very well may) commit a mass casualty event, and the response from chuds will be to dig in even harder.

my instinct is to say this is a result of the revanchist undercurrent that formed the 'Populist Right' around the election of Obama/2008 deleting the economy and its consequences, materializing in the Tea Party, GamerGate, and then Trump. Everything has to be a result of some Original Sin of The Left. No matter what, there is a point where you were "normal" but you "had to become like this" because "the left went too far."

Pseudopsychology time

I think unchecked ressentiment really hollows you out. You become a soldier in a holy war and everything you do is framed around it. The continued existence/happiness of that which slighted you is a constant weight on your back. Dragging others "down to you" is the only thing that gives you even a facsimile of happiness (in schadenfreude).

Knowing the twitter poster personally, you're spot on. With an extra dash of reaction formation to cover up his own sexually predatory behavior in a largely radlib community he was in in his mid twenties.

If anyone should be barred from law, it should be the Right

The right has actively demonstrated they know absolutely fucking nothing about politics, their policies are dogshit, their ideas are dogshit, everything about them at a civil level is dogshit. They are mentally perpetually stuck as 4 year olds and are somehow convinced that's a good thing

And on top of that, the right has demonstrated they don't give a flying fuck about anything politics related, all they want is the power to abuse, murder, removed, and torture people they don't like, because they're deranged subhuman sadist scum

That kind of """""person""""" should be banned from civil society FOREVER

There's a howling emptiness at the heart of every one of these hogs. It's not enough to win. They need to be loved.

Having been on a jury this is a correct take, it just doesn't go far enough.

The accused was black. The white scrawny kid said during deliberations "I just want to point out that there are no people of color on this jury" in response to this I asked him if he would change his vote to not guilty, he replied "no"

In the vid he says "You can't bump your car into a cop. There's gotta be a punishment for that but..." Immigration enforcement is the new police.

For anybody that doesn't know - Tim Miller is "Never Trump" republican guy who has grifted his way into the hearts and minds of many libs. He has a gig on MSNOW, etc.

Ninja edit

The infobox says he's an "independent".

Tim Miller (political strategist)

Tim Miller (born December 25, 1981) is an American political commentator, writer and former political consultant. He was communications director for the Jeb Bush 2016 presidential campaign, but that year became an early and prominent Republican critic of Donald Trump.

Miller is a writer-at-large for the Never Trump opinion website The Bulwark and, having succeeded Charlie Sykes in 2023, host for The Bulwark's daily podcast, and contributes as an MS NOW (formerly MSNBC) analyst.

[...]

Miller has stated that "conservatism is pretty much MAGA. I mean, some people are objecting to that, but in colloquial usage, conservatism is MAGA" and that "leftism, the stuff that I don't like about the left, is mostly defined now as progressivism or leftist or you know something to that effect or socialism. And so I think I am a liberal." Describing the Trump presidencies as fascist, Miller has called Trump a "bigoted, barmy, bargain-basement Berlusconi"

remember the other week when i said flippantly that "cappies and fash are subhuman because they actively defy """""human nature""""" with their stated ideology and actions, not because of any inherent traits"?

yeah, that

[–] decaptcha@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

At this point I’d be open to a constitutional amendment stating it is legal and morally just to compromise every single rightoid to a permanent end.

They need to be the perpetual victim, while causing perpetual harm to others, so everything must either be a punishment for their enemies or a punishment from their enemies. Everything is perpetually about them, pure toddler brain.
