Honestly the whole being intentionally obtuse thing annoys me. Stand on it punk

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 41 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

You know what I find funny? These people go into the obtuse game often whenever they can, when it's something the other party wants clarified, however, when it's something against them, they cease the obtuse olympics and are just direct cause they don't play that game against themselves, for example when Kirk was ventilated; people would post his quote about being against empathy and innocently say "What? We're just agreeing with him; these were his opinions weren't they?" but chuds didn't play along and just openly threatened them over this; they didn't actually engage with what people were saying and just went straight to threats and insults.

These people are like the news; they'll play ridiculously ignorant when it benefits them, but when it's something that's against them they'll suddenly turn into the most aware and awake people on the planet.

(I say they're like the news because the news will dance around things like the Gaza genocide but when it comes to Russia's war with Ukraine, they'll actually call it a war; I'm reminded of a journalist who spoke with a Russian politician who referred to the war as a military operation and she kept insisting 'it's a war' and refusing to let him continue to call it a military operation; these people are as ignorant as someone literally born yesterday when it benefits them, but are as aware and awake as normal when it doesn't)

Thats the funny shit theu either threaten and then talk about it being out of context. Then you see the context and it makes no difference I'm think jfc even you aren't that obtuse. They get exxxtra aware when its a minority doing a crime

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 6 points 1 month ago

Any further context usually makes it even worse lmao

Graham Platner's mother is a math teacher?

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 33 points 1 month ago

She just walked into a flag parlor in Croatia this one time and...

Ancient buddhist insignia of ~~SS Totenkopf~~ Zelensky's bodyguards

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

All three flags are symbols of Ukrainian and German Naziism

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 37 points 1 month ago

Life in 2025:

Being a nazi is bad yes-honey-left

Souce? nerd

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 33 points 1 month ago (1 children)

God I hate when they play dumb.

[–] axont@hexbear.net 31 points 1 month ago (2 children)

If I wanted to be really fair I'd say maybe those flags are WW2 trophies. My great-grandfather had a captured imperial Japanese flag for instance that he displayed because I guess he was proud of capturing it.

It feels like a stretch though

[–] ourtimewillcome@hexbear.net 48 points 1 month ago

the design shown here has not been used by the nazis and the way thd fabric looks shows that these flags were manufactured quite recently.

[–] flying_sheep@lemmy.ml 42 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Lolno, this is some modern Nazi shit.

And guess who puts Nazi flags on the wall, historic or not? Fucking Nazis.

[–] Dessa@hexbear.net 27 points 1 month ago (1 children)

And that skull on the left is just because she's a huge Graham Platner fan

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

And the flag above that one appears to be one from another fascist state with a thirst for the blood of undesirable ethnicities.

[–] Dessa@hexbear.net 1 points 1 month ago

Oh, that's the corner of the East Germany flag. Easy mistake to make!

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 27 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Buddhists, Hindus, and some Native American tribes, and maybe others have all used swastikas. Only Nazis use it at the 45° angle like on that flag. Teach is a fucking Nazi.

[–] Alisu@hexbear.net 37 points 1 month ago

That is literally a nazi flag, it's not just the angle.

[–] Chump@hexbear.net 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

She’s got a totenkopf right there

[–] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Woah, maybe she just got a random skull flag? I certainly wouldn't know what a totenwhateveritscalled was a nazi thing. We don't know she's a nazi just because of that.

[–] thefunkycomitatus@hexbear.net 22 points 1 month ago

She got drunk and went flag shopping with a group of marines back in 2010. They just didn't understand back then.

[–] Abracadaniel@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Sorry to say that 45 degree angle line is a myth. a Buddhist swastika rotated 45 degrees

As is the line about the direction of the swastika. Both directions have been used by pre-nazi spiritual traditions. There's no secret trick to identifying a Nazi swastika, one must rely on the context around the symbol.

[–] AntiOutsideAktion@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] Gloomy@mander.xyz 5 points 1 month ago

Yeah, but in this case:

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

Fair enough then, but the iron crosses accompanying hers are straight Nazi. Teach is still a Nazi.

[–] durduramayacaklar@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Islam world too. Especially, in eastern parts

[–] Umechan@hexbear.net 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm honestly surprised Nazis haven't just started using the Hindu or Buddhist depictions of the swastika or sauvastika so they can hide behind its history pre-nazi appropriation. They're either too dumb to think of it, or too shameless/committed to being a fascist that it would be unthinkable.

[–] vritrahan@lemmy.zip 37 points 1 month ago

They're just too racist for it

[–] NuraShiny@hexbear.net 24 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The Reichsadler is also a well-known budhist symbol, look it up five-head! it stands for the purity of the ger...hey waitaminute!

[–] oscardejarjayes@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

For all you know it could be a Bundesadler /j

The swazikaka is derived from pee pee poo poo

[–] 666PeaceKeepaGirl@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago

It's an educational poster. The swastika is just a fancy multiplication sign. If you look closely you can see there's addition signs too.

The germany flag in the topleft wants to have a word...

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 5 points 1 month ago

She's just a German history enthusiast!

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago

awkward flag gesture!

I thought it was Hindu? Anyway, the original design is rotated 45° to form a cross like arrangement. And isn't it also often embellished with dots? Stupid symbol for the Nazis anyway, it was equivalent to a peace symbol in it's time. I imagine the Burger Reich might eventually adopt a common symbol... Maybe a soyjak?
