I thought it was Hindu? Anyway, the original design is rotated 45° to form a cross like arrangement. And isn't it also often embellished with dots? Stupid symbol for the Nazis anyway, it was equivalent to a peace symbol in it's time. I imagine the Burger Reich might eventually adopt a common symbol... Maybe a soyjak?
