/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Dude, we never see ambiguously "dumb" characters on Star Trek, well excepting Lieutenant Broccoli, so having an odd-ball character who's really good at one thing, but completely fucked everything else up!? Boom, DeVito
All of them. Let's make Danny DeVito the next Jeffrey Combs.
Imagine an episode in which DeVito portrays dozens of different guest characters, one from each species that has ever been featured in Star Trek. Then, the rest of the Sunny gang portrays a merry band of outlaws or something.
My 'shop skills are terrible, so just use your imagination:
Dennis (as Worf): I am not a merry man.

"It's Always Sunny in the Holodeck" is a crossover I didn't know I needed until this very second. Bravo. Now I'm picturing Lore going off about being a golden god.
Horny Betazoid with a crass personality like on always sunny.
So Lwaxana Troi, but half-in-the-bag
Yes, maybe he could play her grand/father on SNW, give her some more background on why she's like that.
I vote Ferengi

My vote goes for a generally tall and slender species.
I think he'd play the hell out of a Kelpien for example. Say, Saru's long lost brother they don't talk about, at all?
This is probably my favorite idea from this entire thread
I vote Risan. Put that man in a swimsuit.
Vulcan for sure
Yeah I'm here for the vulcanvito
He would just be off-the-street Danny DeVito, and there would be no explanation to what his species is.
But have it be slightly implied he's an El Aurian, Lanthanite, or something like that.
An El Aurian that just talks and talks and never listens!
“…in one incredibly long, unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic…”
"...no one had a chance to interrupt..."
At the end of the episode, he just vanishes off the ship and no one knows when or how it happened.
Gonna go with a Harry Mudd - Vulcan mashup.
I want to see him as a recurring background character of every race!
Also, Jeffrey Combs frequently shows up with DeVito.
This should be an ongoing bit throughout multiple series/movies.
Talaxian.
I want to see him as all the characters in a single episode.
Danny DeVito as the shortest Klingon.
"Someone's about to get stabbed!" And he pulls out a mini Mek'leth.
He pulls a Klingon disruptor at the slightest inconvenience
And then i started disrupter-ing
Vulcan
Both, played in the same episode as vicious rivals
Q
Easy, Medusan.
We'll finally get to see what they look like and why it drives people violently insane.
I think his performance as Frank on It's Always Sunny shows he would be a pretty great Ferenghi.
Klingon.
Shouldn't he get his own alien type: DeVitian or something?
I would like to see him as either tellarite counselor (the books have one working on Titan with Captain Riker) specialized in trauma.
Or as a Ferengi running a call center for a non profit for 24th century version of climate pollution.
Klingon. A stumpy DeVito Klingon would be pretty epic.
They call him the Ball biter.
Both. In the same episode.
