The delta between men and women is surprising but understandable. Reproductive rights are a major fuckin issue.

But yeah this place is cooked

On related news looks like beef, coffee, and tropical fruit tariffs are lifted. Those October inflation numbers must look like SHIT

You’re kidding me. You mean the “let’s do the 50s again but worse” messaging isn’t catching on?

40% of young women should organize

e: that seemed rude i mean thats a huge group that would be politically potent, young women are overrepresented in organizations already

Would be nice, but, unfortunately, a lot of them likely have some kind of liberal individualism influencing their thought process rather than any actual revolutionary understanding. I can be highly skeptical about the possibility of your average people in AmeriKKKa actually moving towards class consciousness.

Gotta start somewhere.

Leaving is the usual response to bad conditions when there is a lack of consciousness and movements to join. All oppressed people should unite and fight, but actually making that happen means that we need to organize with them, not that they need to have the correct realizations independently of us.

im not gonna lie, i would endure the issues that come with being monolingual (unless you wanna include rusty German and a proficiency with classical hebrew and koine greek lol) to go somewhere that accepts queer/trans people enough i can eke out a respectable living. I just want a job that pays the bills and a decent roof over my head. i am skilled with languages, so i can learn what I need to. I love learning about and immersing in cultures that aren't my own - if i could leave tomorrow, I would.

When the sea levels stop rising, the hurricanes stop blowing, the diseases stop spreading and when the state is governed by someone competent, you'll be eating those words! Go Jaguars!

If i were in charge of a country I would consider this a very serious problem.

[–] towhee@hexbear.net 20 points 5 months ago

After seeing windows and chrome users loudly complain & then put up with the bullshit despite alternatives three orders of magnitude simpler to adopt than moving to an entirely foreign country, my prediction is that this basically does not matter.
