Yeah I'm gonna play around with doing image gen on this old laptop but I need to update my video drivers tomorrow. Sure it takes like 3-4 to gen a response in an llm with my low vram but at least I know it's not killing the planet.

I guess not, it was started by Georgi Gerganov to implement facebook's Llama without any dependencies. Ollama is system built on top of llama.cpp to assist with model management and deployment

I've got a conspiracy that most of the data centers aren't used for chat bots and slop images, but like 90% of them are mass surveillance and they've built an even bigger panopticon.
They already have the tech to record all our conversations with our smartphones. They just lacked the means to proactively analyze the exabytes of data instead of first flagging people as "persons of interest." AI is their attempt at developing that tech.
It's the same thing.
I like to imagine the actual LLM did this, not the company.
