That's the idea.
This is me. Trump took my job. I don't have time to help the world because nobody will help me.
If you are still unemployed., getting involved in mutual aid can actually be a great thing to do with your time. I started a Really Really Free Market during a tough time in my life and it has given me way more back than what I've invested into in terms of time energy and resources.
I think in other countries people in your situation they become "insurgents" or something like that. I think that's what they want to become of their citizens though so they grow from some other political move.

That's why unions are essential. They can funnel the grievances of the working class towards actual improvements and force the powerful to act. They demonstrate, that a better life is possible when we stand together!
The problem is they don't or can't go far enough. Their end goal should be to take over the company and make it into a worker-owned co-op.
Should it? Wouldn't that just make them different/better bosses?
Unions can choose their own goal and politics and decide them through a democratic process. Their strength depends on membership and readiness of the workers to strike, then they can do anything.
So much union goals seemed impossible until they were achieved and became the new norm.
No, because the point is they wouldn't be bosses, nobody would be bosses, that's the point of a worker owned co-op:
Nobody is a boss, they're all equally responsible and have the same power as everybody else who works there.
Like unions, they collectively/democratically decide on things, they make decisions that don't just benefit a few at the top but all who work there and for the long-term survival of the company, not just the short term benefit of a few.
Ngl, fighting thoughts of either escaping to a forest, or just straight up murdering people every day (when I'm not thinking of just offing myself somewhere away from eyes).

Luckily, I do have a Grandparent that owns a forest, and he would not mind.
That feel when you're disabled and know it's happening but can't do anything about it. You try to find time to at least do something, but it feels like you've dumped one bucket of water out of a boat and in the time it took you to do that two buckets worth of water have leaked into the boat.
Tear out all available wood and build a rescue raft while you can, your ship is going to sink. Collect all available water and fishing equipment to bring with you.
For this world, contact other disabled people and friends and build a company. If you own the company you can't be fired.
I know that you're trying to help, and I appreciate the sentiment. But that advice is literally meaningless.
Build a company? Doing what? I've got 3 autistic kids with varying levels of developmental disability, a partner who we just discovered has a pituitary tumor that's causing her to have episodes where she loses large chunks of her memory for hours on end or "just" become so dizzy and disoriented that she can barely walk unassisted, and I've got chronic joint pain which makes it to where I can barely manage to take care of everyone else along with myself.
We live off government assistance and my partner's disability benefits. So we have draconian asset/income limits we have to live within to not lose food/housing money. Like several months ago we got approved for an extra like $300 a month for our oldest because of his disability and we immediately lost roughly $250 dollars a month in benefits. We get in trouble for having more than like $3,000 in assets.
We know a handful of other disabled people in the area and we all try to help each other where we can but "where we can" is very few and far between. We're all barely holding it together out here as it is. We just don't have the resources.

So long as you NEED other's services, you are exploitable. They can blackmail you to do downright immoral things, just to survive.
Now imagine trying to shut off the electricity of someone who has solar panels, or starve someone who has their own food. You have say, 500.000 people who need a lot less money, and have a lot more time on their hands, who using violence and cohersion against, would be ineffective, and you have a problem.

The ordering of the character chances in each row and it bothers me. In makes it hard to connect the struggles to the effects they have on their job choices and political stance. See for example the one with medical bills. I'd expect to be able to read a single column top to bottom. And for one of the two characters that doesn't change their place from first row to second row, it makes no sense the young person with large student debt would work for no money. Swapping the first and second characters in the second row would make more sense.
This is just my pedantry. The point made in the graphic is very valid, I just found it a bit difficult to read.
Predictably 50% of them are irreverent, readers digest shit or super duper 'merica. This is the internet in 2025 not a print magazine for 1995.
If they make CBDC mandatory for everyone, then everyone will be happy in a bad way.
