Everybody arguing rock, stone, or pebble.

It's a jpeg.

[–] Maiq@lemy.lol 10 points 6 days ago

Just downloaded it, it was a .png.

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

Ce n'est pas un rocher

[–] Shardikprime@lemmy.world 15 points 6 days ago (4 children)

I have to say it. That's a really nice rock.

Well rounded

Uniform oval shape

Well distributed grain

Minimal color invariance

Pauli's exclusion principle compliant

Higher than average support threshold

Aerodynamic

Hydrodynamic

No moss (that's always a plus)

No visible cracks, dents or imperfections

Negative wobblyness

3 dimensional

Positive spinniness

Nice all around silicate spectrum

Higher than average (if not more) cold-handling potential

High end projectile index (above 0.95, that's factoring window breaking potential)

Maximally grind factor (>0.82, that's garlic grade)

Nutcracker performance with tolerable parameters

Accurate weather predictor (Fast drying is most)

Gravitationally bound to Earth system

Free range Baryonic matter contents

All around a solid, great pick. Only needs a banana for scale but thanks to the +-wow factor(i number values) any size variation would just only make it better

Rate: 5/7

7/7 with rice

Bro Rating: 🧢 🧢 🧢 🧢 🧢

Judgement: 👍

It's not bad but has been deprecated as a good predictor since the 1987 US Solar system survey review from the 87-608 reports from Brown, Janet L., where the Framework for sedimentary moss patterns of the Rock Formations on Sol III was developed and standardized

It’s not a rock, it’s a photo of a rock. And it’s probably AI.

[–] letsgo@lemm.ee 7 points 6 days ago

Ceci n'est pas une pierre.

[–] asdfasdfasdf@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

Source? Really dislike all these unsubstantiated claims everywhere.

[–] SheenSquelcher@lemm.ee 11 points 6 days ago

Sorry its a pebble.

Dammit, Marie!

[–] O_R_I_O_N@lemm.ee 6 points 6 days ago

It's a stone!!

[–] letsgo@lemm.ee 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The scale isn't too clear from the image but it looks more like a pebble to me.

It's not a rock, do your research

[–] cryptix@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 6 days ago

I think its an egg painted gray.

[–] merdaverse@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago

The rock was clearly designed by an omnipotent God, and can't be the product of chance

It's clearly a rock coloured silicone egg for people with an oviposition fetish.

[–] CherryBullets@lemmy.ca 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

C'est pas une pierre, c'est une roche 🤪

Everyone knows all rocks are flat this is just NASA propaganda.

[–] wabafee@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

That's pet rock. I thought they discontinued that thing.

[–] ChillPenguin@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

"The guy made a million dollars!"

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Clearly it's an egg of a momma stone

[–] wtckt@lemm.ee 5 points 6 days ago (3 children)
[–] cute_noker@feddit.dk 6 points 6 days ago

Its actually a stone

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago

No, it's not.

It's a giant pebble, get your facts straight

[–] AllHailTheSheep@sh.itjust.works 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I would describe it more as a well rounded piece of gravel, just calling it a rock disregards the geological implications of fluid transport and energy involved with a well rounded stone of that size.

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Wow, just TYPICAL that one of you people would just IGNORE the fact that the object is actually an accumulation of particles that were formed in a number of astronomical events over billions of years, I guess you don't even CARE about the rich history that went into this object before your precious "geology" worked on it, and only care if it's "well rounded."

[–] LarmyOfLone@lemm.ee 4 points 6 days ago

Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks

[–] PunkRockSportsFan@fanaticus.social 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Without banana for scale it could be boulder or asteroid

[–] Shardikprime@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Even a pebble

My god, when do the lies end?!

[–] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm sorry but if you'd like to have an argument you'll have to pay.

[–] ReiRose@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yes, but that was never five minutes, just now. Oh come on!

[–] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Yes it was.
