At will employment in the US is crazy. We're approaching the point of swearing literal fealty to our corporate overlords.
Turns out capitalism over a long enough timeline becomes neo-feudalism.
It's like the bourgeois only overthrew feudalism because they wanted to be in the cool, exclusive club, not because of any of the values the enlightened thinkers claimed.
The difference between capitalism and feudalism is that the serfs had a right to their land
The very first piece of capitalist projection about socialism was "meet the new boss, same as the old boss".
Pretty sure they require workers at Disney parks to do that, or something similar.
Have solidarity with the person that is squeezing every penny out of you, your coworkers, and customers. Please, its the civil thing to do. ~~Just don't expect the same from them.~~

it would be funny if one of the employees somehow submitted a response anonymously via VPN or whatever that, instead of signing the pledge, is instead a pledge to dedicate themselves to kill as many of the executives as they can before they die.
and to specifically blame the pledge request as the thing that pushed them over the edge.
Not only that the executives are good, that their insurance is vital to Healthcare in the USA.
you are required to say we are needed, oh you want Medicare for All that goes against your pledge so we're going to have to let you go
