Let's say we have some periodic function f. The goal is to represent it as a bunch of sine waves. This is called a Fourier series (FS).

For non-periodic functions, we can still get an approximation! The Fourier Transform (FT) uses a continuous range of frequencies instead of whole numbers, and the sum is replaced by an integral (the inverse FT).
FT's are used everywhere, for example in signal processing and spectroscopy. If a recording contains an annoying high-pitched noise, we can apply the FT and filter the unwanted frequencies. Spectroscopy separates light into its different wavelengths. By comparing the resulting spectral lines with known measurements, we can determine which elements and molecules are present in stars and planets, for example.

So much of this rhetoric is just a feeling of inferiority that the movement starts with “fem”. It couldn’t possibly advocate for men because it has a girly name and even though I haven’t read any feminist literature I have watched YouTube influencers complain about man hating feminists so I’m just gonna assume the girly word is for girls I am a rational person yes thank you for asking

I kinda think there is a real misandry in the world, but it's caused by patriarchy like so many of the bad things. Men being seen as "babysitting" their own kids at the park? Micro example. Ukrainian men denied refugee status because only criminals would want to flee their chance to die for their country, big example. The way we treat black men kinda as a whole being seen as natural athletes, criminals, predators, etc. But none of it comes from women or feminism, no matter what MRAs want to believe. Feminists are the only people who have tried to fight against these issues that I know of, one of the famous "reaction image" blue-haired feminists was actually trying to explain that to a bunch of MRAs when she got filmed.
