Yeah this is so messed up, we need to stop these wolves from killing so many deer... Checks notes... so that we can kill them instead
This is the actual message of the sign.
"Isn't it terrible what those wolves due to deer" says person who is mad he only gets one tag this year because wolves actually naturally control deer populations.
Are there other things to hunt?
Yea lots of things but nothing you're going to get as much high quality meat from as a single deer (not sure what the status on moose tags in Minnesota is). They probably get bear tags too but the quality of near meat is really dependant on age and what their diet was.
There's also bird hunting, both waterfowl and land based game birds but that's a bunch of specialized equipment including trained dogs.
