I think I was the catalyst for getting the word spoøk banned here because I pointed out in a comment that the slang noun version of this word and that other associated slang word used to describe feds that starts with G are really closely linked with racism. The admins, in their responsiveness, added these words to the filter almost immediately after that comment, which is hilarious to me because I often talk about progressives and baby leftists like they're skittish horses and I will mention the things that spoøk them and that causing this to happen is unadvisable, only to get that word caught in the filter and I'm like "Y'know, I brought this on myself".
Also I regularly recommend one of my favourite dishes, pasta e fågioli (pasta with beans), on here and obviously it gets filtered but I'll be staring at my comment with the word "removedioli" for like 60+ seconds completely baffled by what's going on before eventually being like "Ohhhhh... now I get it!" and it happens every single time.
I genuinely appreciate the filter but there's no way I'm gonna call that dish "pasta fazool" because I'm too much of a puritan lol
But it makes me wonder: is this place really as pro-beanis as it makes itself out to be? If the filter is biased against the Italian word for beans to the point of censoring it then I think our position on pulses is purely performative.
I've had to resort to "phantasm" when I Stirnerpost and I'll never forgive you.
This is low key tragic
