Anticommunism leads to liberalism or fascism? I'm hearing this for the first time, terrible news, terrible news. It was a great instance, a beautiful instance.
No no, let him Cook, you're right the world's better if I get to do stuff for free
If instances can participate in asymmetric information warfare without reprisal, the Lemmy experiment has failed.
Dog what do they think this is, it's a reddit clone dumbass, get a grip
Hell no, CEREAL is fucking expensive as shit lately
Hey come on American Liberals, this whole Russian Federation thing was your idea, who do you think supported Yeltsin and Putin to power? Maybe if you don't like him then you should take it up with the guys who gave him that job.
Jesus Christ I wonder how these people even attempt to explain a coherent set of beliefs about the world
My bad guys, first day on the anti-aircraft guns
Are Cuba and Vietnam considered good or bad? Nicaragua? How about the new coup leaders in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger? Any successful revolution has demonstrated the necessity of authority, to enforce an ideological will on society and stop the bourgeois class from re-appearing requires authority. Any revolution with be authoritarian, even and especially if it is the oppressed overthrowing the oppressor.
Sure, say you don't like China, the Soviet Union, or the DPRK for your own reasons, but why use a term that encompasses any successful revolution, as even the CNT-FAI was finding a need for things like secret police during the awful times of a revolution.
You should maintain your site culture, but there's a reason anti-communists and fascists use the term tankie as well, it's imprecise and volatile.
Edit: I apologize if this is not a post meant to invite discussion, I just don't see this perspective shared very often in these conversations.
It's certainly the most trans friendly place I've encountered bar none, the original CTH helped me realize I was trans
Look at my big wet boy, writing again. I hope it'll be interesting.
