Greg Nuckols' foray into politics was shockingly refreshing. He went on a 10 minute rant on his podcast about right wingers not understanding economics and ended it with a call for nationalizing the grocery industry. Then he went right back into talking about the different types of wave periodization and how to apply them for strength or hypertrophy.

I've known dudes who get into poly relationships out of a fear (legitimate or not) that they couldn't find a partner if people had other options.

They seem happy ish after a while, idk, I dont really have a point. I guess getting dick and pussy from multiple people outweighs your insecurities in the end? Human culture is hugely malleable and people adapt to a wide range of circumstances?

Its the way people on this site can tell me about the nuances of "water based cooking" but redditors only say the same 6 things (and they're all evil) that tells me how deeply astroturfed that website is

Anything where we can make and solidify gains on an incremental basis: for example, union drives, contract fights, tenant organizing, expanding land trusts.

The best is if these activities either: let us practice self management (for example, creating housing and business coops) or put us in direct conflict with the capitalist class (for example, a contract fight) or better yet, both (a contract fight in a union like UE, IATSE or the ILWU).

I actually think certain forms of electoralism can dovetail really nicely with this, if you run ballot initiatives that increase your capacity to organize (like, you could do a tenants rights initiative enforced through self-help and then organize people to do self-help en masse).

The old CPUSA of the 30s - 50s used to talk about "developing leaders" through union activity. So you'd organize a strike at a plant, find people who were really into it and then deliberately on-ramp them into the party. This way you're making both incremental gains for the class (in the contract) while also deepening the bench for your movement. There's no reason that organizing economic self-help like coops or tenant organizing couldn't develop leadership the same way.

Try to find a Hawaiian who's spent enough time in the Southwest to break into Hollywood and isn't Mormon and you'll start to understand the producers' struggle.

Salt Lake City is called the "easternmost Island" for a reason

But see it's the shame and taboo of it all that makes fucking a republican sexy. Zionists do too much pink washing and take the fun out of it

Does anyone know where to find accurate numbers? Like, summaries made for economists and investors, that sort of thing

The left's anti-sweatshop discourse had two main points:

The first is that commodity dumping was putting people out of work in domestic industries and driving them into cities and sweatshops. Modern day trade deal driven inclosure.

The second is that sweatshops need to be organized and have all the protections of production in the first world both so that those workers are protected and so they stop undercutting American workers.

Responding to these points by saying "well at least sweatshops give people jobs" is not responding insightfully with a hard truth, it is responding with a threat.

thats a nice 10c an hour job you've got there, it'd be a shame if it went away...

People think there's only two options: Shredder or Master splinter, but I'm here to tell you there's an alternative: A socialist alternative. I'm here to advocate for every-day working people: for the goons getting clobbered by nunchuks for $14 bucks an hour and without healthcare! The turtles and shredder fight, nobody wins. We are calling on all goons to lay down their arms and refuse to fight a Mutants' war.

What you've gotta understand is that hes a DSA-right guy. He wants to win people over to socialism by running socialist campaigns on the democratic ballot line and eventually become an independent party at some indeterminate point in the future.

He's read Marx, thinks hes a communist, kind of is in some important ways, but his praxis is Sewer Socialism.

"We need to fully fund the police and keep response times fast" = "create alternative crisis response to reduce police workload"

"Israel has a right to exist as a democratic state" = "Israel doesnt have a right to exist"

"We should make the democrats better" = "we should win races as socialists within the democratic party to create a split"

The NFL stuff is based on a note NYPD """found""" on his body, just like they """found""" a statement of intent on luigi and """find""" an unregistered fire arm on the body of every black man they kill in Harlem.

I'm calling it now, this was a sane man setting out to kill the CEO of Blackstone for what theyre doing to nursing homes and the housing market. The NFL stuff is NYPD and the media trying to prevent this from getting away from the like it did with Luigi.

~~Let's not forget that Blackrock is a plurality owner of United Health"""care"""!~~ edit: this is Blackstone which is different. Also not to be confused with Blackwater the PMC.
