Like everyone else in the western world, looking at my phone.

[-] AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.works 22 points 5 months ago

Have there been any video games that have done this for an idle animation?

[-] Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 5 months ago

Someone should mod this into Cyberpunk

[-] SwearingRobin@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

IIRC, the Sims sometimes check their phones in the Sims 4. Sometimes even while walking somewhere.

[-] bloubz@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 5 months ago

At the top of my head I know Overwatch has looking at phone emotes but it's not an automatic idle animation

[-] GuyFi@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 5 months ago

Going Under does this

This is the most accurate answer for 80% of the people on the internet.

Doomscrolling.

[-] cheesorist@lemmy.world 30 points 5 months ago

I do have one, I kinda sway/swing my hips/upperbody like this

[-] boogetyboo@aussie.zone 26 points 5 months ago

Picking at my cuticles and cracking all my joints, while staring into the middle distance.

[-] owenfromcanada@lemmy.world 25 points 5 months ago

Stands there.

Looks around.

Picks nose.

Stands there.

Wiggles a bit.

Stands there.

Picks absently at a fingernail.

Stands there.

Chokes on air for a minute.

Take out a bag of seeds and begin to make a little mound of spit out seeds to show how long I've been idle

[-] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 13 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Standing around awkwardly with my hands in my pockets, because I don't know what else to do with them.

[-] spacemanspiffy@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago

Methodically cracking all of my knuckles.

[-] StrawberryPigtails@lemmy.sdf.org 12 points 5 months ago

Sleeping. Possibly borrito’d into a blanket.

Stroking my c…

[-] remotedev@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago

The funny thing about my chin, Jules, is that it's located on my cock!

[-] HubertManne@kbin.social 7 points 5 months ago

Definitely lighting a cig (don't smoke kids)

[-] kakes@sh.itjust.works 6 points 5 months ago

Sitting at my desk, thinking about how nice it must be outside.

[-] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 6 points 5 months ago

Doom scrolling on my phone.

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 5 months ago

Sitting low on a couch, legs crossed on a stool, bouncing the top foot.

[-] woop_woop@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

Bored toddler.

Slouched forward shoulders, weight on my heels, head back with a pained expression and small crying sounds.

[-] newtraditionalists@beehaw.org 5 points 5 months ago

Hit a bong.

[-] knittedmushroom@beehaw.org 5 points 5 months ago

Fiddling with my clothes/hair/anything within reach. For the big "fancy" idle animations that trigger after like 5 minutes of inactivity, I'd bust out my knitting/crochet or a book.

[-] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

Sitting down and bouncing my leg.

[-] nayminlwin@lemmy.ml 4 points 5 months ago

[-] Nemo@midwest.social 3 points 5 months ago

put one foot behind the other knee so I'm standing in one foot, then do squats

[-] makingStuffForFun@lemmy.ml 3 points 5 months ago

I fantasise mine is probably like Trevor in GTA. You never know what you're going to get, or where, but it's going to be fun.

[-] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 5 months ago

Like Trolls in World of Warcraft.

[-] Resol@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Holding my left elbow with my right hand. Idk why, but I always do this gesture. People keep thinking I'm some sort of shy, femboyish think, which, in a transphobic environment does lead to some weird looks.

It looks especially funny with a bright purple bucket hat, dark green oversized sweater (for Brits: jumper), black fanny pack, black leggins, and New Balance shoes. Hmm... maybe I should start wearing this in real life.

[-] otp@sh.itjust.works 2 points 5 months ago

I like how you translated sweater, but not fanny pack.

You might want to look up what "fanny" means in British English! Lol

[-] Resol@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I intentionally didn't do it to avoid potentially witnessing any swear words.

Apologies to all the Brits who came across my comment.

[-] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 2 points 5 months ago

Flipping balisong or something

[-] nycki@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I have adhd and my idle stim is shifting my weight from one foot to the other. I'm like a living metronome. Drives people crazy.

[-] rando895@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 5 months ago

I already have idle animations like video games. See Karlach

[-] squid_slime@lemm.ee 1 points 5 months ago

Vaping and pulling at my beard whilst stood with an uncomfortably wide gate and shifterly looking around every several seconds.
