When I was still living in the US, many of my Asian American friends who are of Chinese descent confided in me that their parents voted for the Republicans (the “party for hard-working people”) and hated the Democrats (“too open minded”).
A lot of conservative, older generation Chinese emigrants in America support anti-China policies. You don’t even have to look in America, just go to Youtube and scour the Hong Kong, Taiwanese and overseas Chinese channels and you will come across many many such anti-China videos made by self-proclaimed political commentators speaking in Cantonese and Mandarin.
