pov: incel with physics education from wikipedia imagines what it'd be like to talk to a woman

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 87 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Still salvageable.

'Yes mistress. I am stupid filth, mistress. Please teach me more."

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 24 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Knowing Dommes that would work for some but you better at least be able to demonstrate a decent capacity in some stem branch. Engineering is a mixed bag because it’s great for degradation scenes but it is often a yellow flag

[–] nexussapphire@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Degradation scenes? Wtf is that?

[–] frezik@midwest.social 7 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Listen, slut, you think you can just show up here and get off. No, you're going to earn it. Get on all fours! My boots haven't been tounge washed lately.

And so on.

[–] littlebluespark@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

Tongue*

🤦🏼‍♂️

[–] nexussapphire@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago

Hay different strokes for different folks!

[–] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What do you mean by yellow flag?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I’m being tongue in cheek as I’m an engineer myself, but there is a certain type of person who is overrepresented in the career and leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths for us. These people are firmly camped at mount stupid on most topics, generally show poor social skills, and in general are not fun to be around. There’s also a misogyny problem within the career that many women have picked up on

[–] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Oof I got really worried I was camping at the peak myself just now, but then I saw the examples given and feel a bit better haha.

Hopefully being kind, open minded, and loving dominant woman doesn't make us a minority, as a fellow engineer.

Cheers, thanks for the explanation.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

It might, but that’s ok. I’m married to a Domme myself, dating another, and have been flirting with a third (everyone knows about all of it). The trick is that I’m involved in my local community, treat dominant women like people, and am fun to be around. Bring an attractive woman helps I’m sure, but I’ve met unattractive men in similar situations so it’s probably not just that

This makes me want to file a feature request with @dessalines@lemmy.ml about Lemmy supporting L^A^T~E~X.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

It already has trouble with regular code blocks.

[–] morrowind@lemmy.ml 33 points 2 years ago (5 children)

Did... She just set the speed of light to 1?

[–] zerakith@lemmy.ml 57 points 2 years ago

This isn't uncommon in lots of physics calculations where you are working at the same scales a lot and its cumbersome to keep carrying the constants around and it adds risk of making a mistake.

Think of it as assuming you are working in a system of units where you measure all your speeds relative to the speed of light. So rather than saying the speed limit of a road is 30mph you would say its .000000045c.

[–] anzich@feddit.de 23 points 2 years ago

She's measuring distances in light-seconds. Then the speed of light is 1 light-second per second

[–] user224@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (4 children)

1 what? Cucumber per nanosecond?

[–] kureta@lemmy.ml 11 points 2 years ago

1 speed of light of course.

[–] anzich@feddit.de 7 points 2 years ago

Light-second per second

[–] Tranus@programming.dev 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Actually, yes. Light travels about 30cm in a nanosecond, around the size of a cucumber.

[–] user224@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 2 years ago

Which is why I updated my comment from "banana per nanosecond", which itself was originally updated from "apple per picosecond" that I just put there randomly, without any thought.

[–] kboy101222@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 years ago

Is there another way to measure the speed of light?

[–] bier@feddit.nl 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's just a number, and all units are relative. So if you set it to 1 and make sure the equation still is valid it doesn't matter.

[–] littlebluespark@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] stringere@leminal.space 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Except at the speed of light?

[–] littlebluespark@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] gregorum@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

It’s ludicrous!

[–] prime_number_314159@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Just use the only practical unit of length, "lengthunit", which is equal to 299792458 meters (whatever those are...) times the only practical unit of time, "time unit", divided by a "second" (whatever that is...).

[–] littlebluespark@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

A "second" is the 2nd division of an hour.

[–] RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world 33 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (2 children)

For those who dont understand the equation, E = Energy, specifically Kenetic Energy in this case, p = momentum, which is determined by mass and velocity, and m = mass. You wanna know something else? a^2 + b^2 = c^2 is the same fucking thing as E^2 = p^2 + m^2.

[–] illectrility@sh.itjust.works 28 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So it's all just Pythagoras?

[–] RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] kometes@lemmy.world 21 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm not saying she's fast, but she gets around faster than a photon

[–] humorlessrepost@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

She must be a satanist, then. She has negative mass.

[–] Xavienth@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 years ago

Or she's an electron in some medium, travelling faster than the local speed of light

[–] PrincessLeiasCat@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago

So she’s a classical kind of girl?

[–] Engywuck@lemm.ee 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Take my very energetic upvote

[–] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Did you upvote this while at rest?

[–] Engywuck@lemm.ee 7 points 2 years ago

Best I can do is an inertial reference frame

[–] eya@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

uhmmm ahcktually its E^2^=m^2^c^4^+p^2^c^2^

[–] gentooer@programming.dev 6 points 2 years ago

Thank God for natural units

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 6 points 2 years ago

I think the "her" in this meme must be Angela Collier.

[–] PatFussy@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

Energy as a form of momentum

[–] Omega_Haxors@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I have literally never heard a smart person ever say "degenerate" unless to refer to the fact the word originates from Nazi Germany.

::: spoiler spoiler (not in the mathematical context, smartass. When used to refer to things in a negative connotation. They're the ones who pioneered that)

[–] theodewere@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

girl spinning so fast homey's frames be dragging
