It's wild to me how liberals can't see the slightest "nuance" around the war in Ukraine, but "both sides" the genocide in Palestine or the attacks on Iran.

Idk, considering how easily they can minimize war crimes it makes perfect sense.

For example if done by the good guys it is forgivable but if done by bad ones they must be exterminated

It was always a war because Russia called it a Special Military Operation, and we have to undermine any Russian narrative.

and the invasion of vietnam was a "police action"

states calling wars things other than war to get around treaty obligations or domestic laws is totally normal and stupid so it's pointless to use rhetorically.

somebody on here said it's SMO because they have allies that would be obligated to join a war but idk if that's true.

it's stupid if you're paying attention, but useful -- the 1/3 of americans still supporting trump despite everything he's done proves it.

but it's not even necessary for that, those 1/3rd would still support him if he called it a war

So if they'd called it a violent picnic it wouldn't be a war? I don't think nomenclature is the reason it's a war.

What has made you think anyone here has been saying otherwise?
