and the invasion of vietnam was a "police action"
states calling wars things other than war to get around treaty obligations or domestic laws is totally normal and stupid so it's pointless to use rhetorically.
somebody on here said it's SMO because they have allies that would be obligated to join a war but idk if that's true.
it's stupid if you're paying attention, but useful -- the 1/3 of americans still supporting trump despite everything he's done proves it.
but it's not even necessary for that, those 1/3rd would still support him if he called it a war
