What a silly man. He obviously should have just used Grok, so that rather than giving him bad advice it would have just called him a Pedo and told him he was complicit in white genocide in South Africa
Fuck AI
"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"
A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

It has electrolytes!
The people pushing these AI chatbots should be liable. Make them do farm work. Reconnect them with the earth.
When confronted by the farmer about the crop failure as a direct result of following the AI's recommendations, the AI informed the farmer that he was correct to push back on that.
"I'm sorry I sent you on a goose chase for the 3rd time, I'll try to do better this next time."
For entertainment purposes only.
I, for one, am very entertained by this.
Now THATS a spicy meatball!
The real tragedy here is a 67 year old still working a farm.
Have you seen the average age of an American farmer?
Isn't the average American farmer a megacorporation or investment fund these days?
I know a guy in his late 80's who's still farming. He's told me a million times that the day he stops farming will be the day that he dies, and I believe him. He's got enough money to retire - he's just in it for the love of the game.
He’s outstanding in his field.
I heard rural China isn't nearly as developed as you'd think as a westerner. We mainly look at all the modern cities and regions which have become the factory of the world.
True, but the bloke has access to a.i. so he can't be that far off the beaten track. Chuzhou looks like it's a pretty sizeable city as well.
And I'm not sure what that has to do with working until you die. Mind you, I have no retirement savings, so that'll probably be me, too, but at least I'm not doing hard physical labour.
I was playing Hockey Legacy Manager 26 yesterday, trying Expansion draft for first time.
The UI in game is hard for tracking a few things as picks are done, I didn't want to type up 200 players in a spreadsheet to quickly see them all. Asked Claude to keep an eye on salary stats and depth chart as I picked out players. That's it... "How much do they all cost. How's the depth look". Saves me clicking between a bunch of pages.
Salary cap was blown out by $15M.
It assumed if a player was backup or on the bench, they didn't earn money, only when on ice the salary worked. This was Opus too...
Fucking useless shit. Had to do it all again but just did it the old school way without help. Better result, took about 20 mins longer.
You should have been using the more expensive mythically large foreskin model instead of the comically tiny peanut model. That's on you.

Time and time again, asking the oracle for wisdom, begets replies from drug addled teenagers.
Dust bowl as farce.
Rip. Leopard meet face?
"an herbicide"
another quality article...
Well actually that's a bit more complicated. Some English accents will pronounce the "h" and it'll sound like, well, "herb", but other accents treat it as silent and it sounds like "erb".
I'm going to guess this author and/or style-guide pronounces it "an erb"
That's a common phrasing.
