i've had good luck with Brave Star and Gustin
that will never be on the ballot. the active socialist position is to vote for the least worst candidate with a chance of winning and organize on the margins to build the strength for a robust insurgency movement that can break the system and make a new one. organizing under hyperfascism is much more difficult than under neoliberal fascism. it's why big businesses switch to supporting overt fascism in times of decay. yes, the calculus is a little different if you're in a winner take all location with a heavy majority like maryland, illinois, or idaho. in those locations, go ahead, vote 3rd party to send a message that america isn't homogenous or a binary. or spend your day organizing on the margins. but you have to understand that the most votes a third party candidate ever mustered was 18%, and that candidate was a right wing libertarian with some very concerning views on race.
election day is all about finding a way to make the other 364 days of resistance continue to be possible. they've become much more difficult under the republican controlled apparatus
this 100%. i've been shot by rubber bullets on 6 separate occasions as the police made protective circles around nazis to make them safe. even at those free speach zones, bring everything you need to diffuse riot control equipment just in case things get weird because they just well might.
our militarized police forces LOVE kettling people, beating them, and pepper spraying them. come prepared even if you think the protest you're going to is safe
if you're american seeking to flee now even if you yourself are not in danger, you are participating in a neoliberal colonial project. stay and help your vulnerable neighbors. you will do more to help venezuela and queer people by staying put, getting active, and studying groups like the zapatistas than you can by going to a future vassal state
it pisses me off. class solidarity should not be gated by international borders. it's fine to focus your energy where you can apply it, but the idea that an imperial power should be allowed to dominate another country because it's their sphere is bullshit.

not my defitition. and by the generally understood definition, Syria is not in the north and is surrounded by other countries also in the global south. where are you demarcating north? the equator? because it'd be better to think of it as being around Russia's southern border, or around the Mediterranean sea based on how the countries of the global north treat the global south
Syria is absolutely part of the global south. you know the global south is primarily about economic exploitation and not geography, right? and good for you knowing these things. but most americans aren't keyed into all this at all
- the women's war in syria
- liberation movement throughout africa seeking to erode neocolonialism
- the origins and collapse of congolese independence work that was disrupted by the CIA leading to the current civil war
- who the opposition to Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela is
there's all sorts
the vast majority of americans don't know the first thing about political movements originating from the global south. let's start there
wouldn't the yankees just remain in new york since new york isn't new england?
american conservatism is a death cult
so much appeasement happening in the world right now
