Surprisingly no, he probably thought it was a completely original and clever idea that no one else has thought of before. That's how he seems to behave.

On his youtube channel, he says that his second AI movie will be "COOL CAT STOPS a school shooting". Imagine Daddy Derek entering prompts about school shootings into a LLM. Something funny is bound to happen.

I watched the Cool Cat vs Covid movie and it was funny. I don't really understand who Derek is supposed to be for. He has the Cool Cat series, but also made self-defense videos for women and hosts a weed-themed award show.

I thought there already was a "Cool Cat Stops a School Shooting" movie. Has it been in production hell (lol) for years or something? I heard about it like 5 years ago.

In the video, he says that he was unable to make it because he didn't have enough funding and that AI would allow him to make anything on a low budget.

"Cool Cat Stops a School Shooting" was originally announced on indiegogo in 2018, but only received $10k of its $25k goal. He used the money to make different movies and then the school shooting movie was delayed indefinitely.
