Rules: (interactive)

1) Be nice and; have funDoxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

2) All posts must end with a '?'This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?

3) No spamPlease do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.

4) NSFW is okay, within reasonJust remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com. NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].

5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions. If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.

6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !askusa@discuss.online

7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. It's not fair to the ones who took their time to answer, and it's not in the spirit of the community.

MODERATORS

I want a free speech platform that allows any content from humans or bots, from any political leaning from anarchism to fascism. What's the most mainstream platform that puts free speech first? I can only think of Rumble. There are some federated instances but they are usually small.

If you are looking for fascism content then twitter.com has you covered.

Tolerance Paradox makes this impossible

[–] radix@lemmy.world 29 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Lots of people say that want total freedom for anybody to post anything, but it becomes clear almost immediately that it's completely unsustainable. Spam, CSAM, and other illegal stuff has to be moderated or users leave and the admins get in legal trouble.

What most people mean by "free speech absolutism" is "I want to be able to say stupid, offensive shit without being held accountable." Even if that's not your intent here, that's the prevailing interpretation, so you're being judged on that.

..without being prosecuted legally for it*

Why do you want fascism to have a voice?

[–] actionjbone@sh.itjust.works 11 points 14 hours ago

Because he's a fascist. Obviously.

There's no such thing. Unrestrained bots make it impossible for human community to sustain itself. Unrestrained hate makes it impossible for a balanced community to be sustained.

What you're looking for will be a site full of bots talking to each other, with the only human presence being hard core bigots.

Yep, but that's not this idealised place the OP is looking for, where all opinions are to be found. It's just full of hate and bots, giving a very narrow range of "free" speech

[–] tonyn@lemmy.ml 11 points 14 hours ago

I suggest starting one as an experiment. You control it. See how long you can restrain yourself from wanting to delete something.

Doesn't exist. Free speech is not applicable to private sites and communities which are protected by constitutional laws, not bound by them.

What you're after is a website that has minimal to no moderation on political discourse. These tend not to exist because of the people they attract and the hot water the site owners can get into by the actions of those people.

Your best bet is 4chan.

Look at X and the cesspool it has become since moderation stopped.

What you're looking for is the chat on my bootleg sports streaming websites, and I don't really recommend that

[–] Vanth@reddthat.com 1 points 14 hours ago

Didn't expect such a real answer.

The legit app I pay real money for was non-functional yesterday so I sailed the seas for a stream of Mexico v Ecuador and made the mistake of glancing at the chat as I went to mute the annoying "pop" sound from each new post. Sweet bebe jeebus that was a horrible half second.

If you're having problems finding a place to say what you have to say, then perhaps you just shouldn't say it at all

[–] DougPiranha42@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

4chan? I don’t know if it’s still around. I’d guess nobody except a clinically psychotic dude locked up in a basement with nothing just a computer would read a forum like that though.

[–] tal@lemmy.today 1 points 11 hours ago

I don't think that that's really a platform issue per se. I mean, you can spin up an instance here on the Threadiverse and set whatever instance policies you want. Someone else could have an instance with very different policies.

[–] Zarobi@aussie.zone 0 points 9 hours ago

There is no mainstream website. You would need to look into something like the ~~dark web~~, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you just want to see what bots contributions look like, check out Moltbook. It's pretty trash, but also mildly interesting. I wouldn't really enjoy striking up a conversation with those bots.

[–] zikzak025@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

The only site that will allow you to say whatever you want is one you host yourself. But I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't attract the audience you're looking for.
