“Why didn’t they just murder him within seconds and without warning?”

That's a list of deaths directly connected to police in the UK.

Where is the evidence to support the claim that they were killed within seconds and without warning?

Aside from the shoot to kill policy after 9/11 which led to an innocent man being stalked by police then without warning held down and immediately shot seven times in the head.

You're right. Deaths under that policy would have been classed as a lawful killing, and I've noticed that I've changed the OPs question erroneously. Thank you.

The question should have read "murdered within seconds and without warning".

Title could be "two buddy on an relaxing bike ride" and i would've believe it

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 1 month ago (3 children)

That's the laziest riding I've seen in a while

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 15 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I think it’s probably faster and going harder than we think but yeah, it looked pretty relaxed didn’t it

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The speedometer shows ~8-10kmh

[–] nibbler@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

UK uses miles, so I guess mph, which is way faster.

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Eww

But that's still only 16kmh, which is very slow for cycling

[–] nibbler@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 month ago

I saw a lot of twelves there, which is 19kmh. While dodging trash bins and trying not to kill anyone, this is a reasonable speed. Not for a competitive cyclist of course.

I think the video was doctored to be even slower....

[–] Cypher@aussie.zone 4 points 1 month ago

Yeah…. Nah. I used to race bikes and this lot are barely peddling lol

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

There was no reason to go any faster. He wasn't an immediate danger and they were just following him until he could be safely stopped. No need to escalate anything.

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm talking also about the guy being chased

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Apparently I'm not operating on enough sleep. 👍

[–] froh42@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

The guy who was chased neither.

[–] stsquad@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago

They got him didn't they?

[–] Wistful@discuss.tchncs.de 23 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I really thought that was a skit at first.

[–] Nomad@infosec.pub 2 points 1 month ago

Its somewhat of a pun on the Favela motorcycle chase video that circulated here a few days ago.

[–] Shrubbery@piefed.social 2 points 1 month ago

Because of the stupid music

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 12 points 1 month ago

That cop rides like my grandmother.

[–] i_stole_ur_taco@lemmy.ca 10 points 1 month ago

I watched this muted, but my windows are open and there’s a bunch of sirens outside so this was a very exciting chase!

[–] NarrativeBear@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Honestly edge of my seat the whole time.

High octane maneuver at about the 1 minute mark.

[–] themaninblack@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

This is the opposite of Brazil chases

[–] Digestive_Biscuit@feddit.uk 5 points 1 month ago

I really wanted to see a pit maneuver

[–] djdarren@piefed.social 4 points 1 month ago

Dunno why they nicked him, he said himself, he ain't dun nuffing.

[–] mx_smith@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Is this a new video game?

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 month ago

I was waiting for them to do some parkour on their bicycles

[–] 0ndead@infosec.pub 0 points 1 month ago
