We do this with crawfish in a lot of parts of the world, and that works a lot better since they'll also eat the decomposing plant matter that falls off the rice to keep the water cleaner and plants healthier.

You could do all 3 since the crawfish would eat the fish waste too
These fish might be detritivores too (idk tho)
Then humans will work the land, and we can eat all three! This is genius!
Mmm grilled Steve
That's just very fresh sushi
Deconstructed
Fishes is not the plural of fish.
Unless we are eating rices too.
And I'm ok with that.
Multiple types of fish and rice= fishes and riced.
doors and corners
Dammit, Miller.
Fishes IS the plural if there are multiple species of fish.
Fishes IS NOT the plural if there multiple fish of the same species.
Fishes can most certainly be plural for fish, especially when referring to different types.
Pretty much exclusively when referring to multiple types.
Fishes is how you would pluralize multiple species of fish together.
Yeah it should be fishies
Rice grains is not the plural of rice grain.
Unless we are eating fish grains too.
I believe it’s fishi
Rice grains are a part of rice plants, just as Fish dicks is the plural of fish dick.
Zombie eat brains
Why is this a shitpost? I’m not biologist.
Fish shit... Plants need nutrients to grow...
So do fish.
Wait, that's actually clever? Why is this shit?
It's literally shit
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
That many fish will be breathing and consuming a considerable amount of their own waste.
Some fish thrive in shitty conditions, like catfish
you're telling me a fish integrated this rice?
Aquaponics
I fly over a fish farm as part of my job (Barramundi). It looks very industrial with artificial waterfalls between big square ponds. No way you could sneak rice fields through that.
I also fly over a crocodile farm. Maybe thats better for rice haha.
Grass fed fish
Before, we've had fish and chips. Now get ready for
Rices and Pisces
sushi
Live fish storage and porridge
This seems like it would be inefficient at both types of harvesting. Also the amount of pesticides and extra nutrients sprayed onto crops would cause algae blooms in the water and kill everything else.
Unless this is specifically designed as a low yield eco thing, in which case we'd need many multiples of land used to achieve the same output.
There's a reason the world population has exploded in the last few decades, without 10x the number of farms.
