the account was called "coldforce" but it seems like it's already been taken down. not sure where to find an archive of it, i'm sure one has been made already though.

I hate how they take these accounts down no matter what proof there is. It just makes it difficult to get any idea of these people's motivations and requires you to go by what the media says

Can't control the narrative if there's evidence open to the public

Why is locking the wheels not sufficient? Intuitively I would guess that the wheels would have better grip and prevent movement more than the plastic tube foot he is using?

[–] dead@hexbear.net 3 points 4 days ago

It's a plastic tube because it is a prototype ie a demo. He made it from pvc plumbing pipe. It is meant to demonstrate a concept. The real product would be made from a stronger material. He's probably trying to acquire funding from investors at the convention.

I would guess that an anchor brake would be more viable on a surface where the wheels don't have traction. Wet grass as example would be slippery for wheels, but an anchor would hold the wheelchair in place.

You know how chat likes to make fun of Squeex for going to UC Davis? There's like UCLA and Berkeley or whatever. Is Cal-Tech funny?

Could you go "well if course his assassination attempt didn't work, what do you expect from a Cal-Tech grad?"

what do you expect from a Cal-Tech grad?"

Cal-Tech is on the same tier as the uber-elite colleges ie MIT, Harvard, Princeton, with a student population that can best be characterized as ‘giga-nerd’, unrivaled by any other school’s student body.

‘What do you expect from a Cal-Tech grad?’ Is appropriate only in the in that I would literally never expect a Cal-Tech student to even have the physical strength to lift a gun

Even the mass shooters are over educated and underperforming undyne-joy
