As the world’s second largest economy, they are an emerging market. This should naturally explain why the world’s 3rd largest economy, which is a bit above 1/4 of China’s, is blue.
Second largest? They produce everything. Its so funny that that statement is its own "always the same map" thing. Most of amerikas economy is fictitious capital and they produce little more than suffering but claim to be the biggest economy lmao.
"economy" doesn't mean products or production or industrial capacity or consumption or living standards
"economy" just means money, just the number of money that is dancing around

the economy absolutely does not trickle down though, average salaries are ridiculously low, no one can afford to buy a house, small businesses are closing every day

Greece, a country that had a total economic collapse to the point it was a joke for several years, and was degraded to an "emerging market", is advanced.
India, Russia, Brasil, Mexico, Turkey, all of which have developed industries with "healthy" agricultural, service, and "white collar" industries and aren't literal financial jokes, not advanced.
Also, lol at all the baltics being "advanced". Any economy they have is thanks to the USSR, and they and the west will never forgive them for it. I think the only thing I've ever seen "Made in" any of them was some winter hat from Estonia. I know I've seen some Polish stuff before. Nigeria once or twice. South Africa too.
Also also, I'm assuming the blue Carribean + African coastal dots are French overseas islands right? A tourism based economy propped up so your colonial overlords can maintain 1/100th of the prestige they had 200 years ago is peak economy.

Hong Kong and Macau and Taiwan are advanced (but not China). How the fuck is Canada advanced. Maple syrup and bad pseudo-American culture is not advanced. Same goes for Australia and New Zealand. Sorry but something being made in a country is a sign of a basic economy. Advanced economies don't make stuff.
Advanced economies do sports gambling, crypto rugpulls and AI chat bots.
advanced economies only make apps. this is why sweden, finland and the baltics are blue, they make computer games and spotifys and such (this employs like 100 people total and makes a lot of money for one guy in a fedora)

French overseas territories are officially France, Greenland is not officially Denmark. You can differentiate Greenland from Denmark and you will hear no one complaining (Well, nobody worth listening to).
What goes where is bullshit, but Greenland being their own thing is not.
