Do you even live in Atlanta? I've been here my whole life, have friends active in city politics, I own a home walking distance to Cop City. I have scathing indictments of most of city council and all of the recent mayors but they are personal and based on the individual people and their actions.

I have harsh criticism of the Democratic party too but their dominance in the city is a symptom not a root cause of the problems here. If your analysis starts and stops at "Democrats bad" your understanding of my city is too simple

Do you have anything to contribute to the conversation other than one liners?

Its more complex than just partisan politics. Local churches are turning out huge blocks of pro-corporate, pro-police, pro-developer generally misinformed voters. You could change the partisan make up of the city and I doubt you would get very different results.

Im lucky blood clots or some kinda vascular system dysfunction scared/harmed me into quitting because I still love the smell and vibes of cigarettes yet I have zero temptation. I smoked a pack or two a day of Marlboro Red 100's for 13 years, after many failed attempts at quitting I have no idea how I'd do it if I didn't have my brain rewired by severe pain because I fucking love the smell of second hand cigarette smoke

The first time I got on Lemmy, one of the first posts I looked at I saw someone complaining about the Tankie Triad. I was like, "holy shit that's exactly what I'm looking for!" Libs light my path, he thought he was warning me, instead I found my new home.

Swear to God Blue MAGA is just as closed minded and intellectually bigoted as their Republican counterparts, right down to throwing around silly nicknames for people they don't like and ignoring/refusing to hear any point of view they disagree with. They are just as mean spirited and equally impervious to evidence as any conservative

If all the cells in my body can create consciousness that I am experiencing then why couldn't all the bodies on Earth create a consciousness that the planet would experience?

You are literally posting on an instance for suburban liberals to LARP as anarchists

You are absolutely right

I don't believe in any political idealogies. I am a sceptic and committed to the advancement of humanity along whatever line brings the most good to the most people. China embodies this more than my home country or any of its allies. If your politcal dogma is more important to you than people I cant help you man. Unlike you I'm not married to any country or belief system.

When liberals like you LARP as communists or anarchists or whatever your brains and critical thinking completely shut down when comparing the West and China. You become as dogmatic as fundamentalist Christians on this subject.

Its like you know you are cucked by your ruling class and you are angry about the corruption and exploitation. Aware of. your own impotence you project your anger at other countries as a release valve.

"Do tell libcuck: do you think calling people names is persuasive? Do you think simping for the American empire will bring about communism and socialism?" ^this is how you sound

I bet if any other world government executed between 2.5% and 5% of a class in its country you would call it a genocide or crimes against humanity, but China executing criminal billionaires at that rate doesn't even register to you as strict state control.

I'm surprised a frothing at the mouth China hater like you wouldn't even use this as an opportunity to criticize their overuse of the death penalty. Keep your eyes on the ball dude, you could have been hammering China for being authoritarian mass murderers but instead it's, "nuh uh! Expecting nearly 1 out of 20 billionaires doesn't constitute control!" Fucking clown

"China Executes 14 Billionaires in 8 Years, Culture News Reports"

Sounds like they have their billionaire class under control. Over an 8 year period they executed something like nearly 5% but definitely more than 2.5% of the billionaire class for criminality.

You project your understanding of the lawless billionaires of the West to China when their system simply does not work the same. Chinese billionaires face significant consequences for malfeasance and their class is closely controlled by the Party which they aren't not even allowed to join. Their class is only allowed to join the non-voting advisory body called the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CCPCC) where they can make legislative proposals for the CPC to review.

So to review as a class their political influence is subordinated to the workers party and when they break the law they are held accountable, they are even executed for serious crimes.

The billionaire class of China is incomparable to the lawless corrupt class of criminal billionaires that we have in the West

I'm shopping for a new router and I would prefer something from a company that isn't stealing my data and spying on me at every opportunity.

I live in a small house, 1100ish square feet. I have 8 wifi cameras, 6 computers (two are for work), a handful of phones and tablets, nearly 50 lights and other smart devices, and lastly I have 10 Sonos wifi speakers. I would also strongly prefer something that is wall or ceiling mountable.

My current router is buckling and can't handle the load. I would very much appreciate any advice or recommendations you can offer me while I'm shopping!
