This might be a simplistic take, but for me at least the main issue with western art at this point is that it is poisoned by neoliberalism, not even liberalism. And liberals don't have a robust understanding of their own worldview, like they're lying to themselves, or that their worldview is one of convenience which in turn reflects in their art. So it sucks but obviously bigots gonna be bigots and blame it on poc representation or whatever, and in this case blame it one women, which is depressingly stupid (as in the stupidity makes me depressed).
