They are saying "this is proof that the F-35 is one of the strongest airframes the world has ever seen"

Their orthodoxy is unfalsifiable

[–] TrustedFeline@hexbear.net 11 points 4 days ago

They put all the stats into the airframe and graft

Lol when the cybermusk was exploded outside trump tower, a chud at work was talking about how "you can tell how solidly these things are built by the way it exploded"

The video on telegram looks like they are watching it in infrared and manually painting the target for the missile. If true, this is hilarious because all the "stealth" tech in the world against radar literally can't undo the fact that your plane is wrapped around a jet engine.

In the interwar period in Britain, they made these giant concrete half-sphere "acoustic mirrors" that reflected ambient sound towards one spot, and a person's job would be to sit at that spot and listen for planes and zeppelins. We should bring that back.

Confession: when I was a kid I thought US stealth jets could turn invisible.

yeah i thought they had a star trek style cloaking device until i was told about the radar thing

a bit later in life, i was surprised how quiet a B2 that did a pass during an air show was though. didn't hear it until directly overhead.

it just looked like some wing shaped sky trash drifting lazily in the wind

Fake news. F-35's just do that on their own sometimes in combat scenarios. It keeps the enemy on their toes.

To play devil's advocate. Only the dumbest gooners literally think their military tech is invincible. Nothing in the world is invincible. There are bound to be losses in war, and we shouldn't hype up just a single airframe loss/damage.

Stable condition means your basic vitals aren't going to shit. That this is all they can say means the pilot was seriously injured.

[–] LaughingLion@hexbear.net 13 points 4 days ago

exactly its the difference between winning a firefight and surviving a firefight

[–] Crucible@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago

Dramatically improved their chances of survival by landing instead of using the decapitator eject seat

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 17 points 4 days ago

You know it had to be bad when they couldn't lie and say it was a "malfunction".

[–] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 13 points 3 days ago

Any military equipment gooner worth their salt has spent years complaining about what a piece of shit the F-35 is

[–] supafuzz@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago

how's that air supremacy goin'

are you winning, USA?

[–] Chapo_is_Red@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago

It was probably the dryer. Pilot should've emptied the lent trap

Talked to my coworker about this when pakistan had that little skirmish with India, and how the Chinese jets mogged the american jets.

He was still coping on some random BS
