Trophy's are for losers who don't understand the game.

[–] genuineparts@infosec.pub 2 points 21 hours ago

Should have called it Big Blue Coal. Because BBC is something Trump deserves.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

"Clean Coal"

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

another participation prize for the draft dodging shitbag

[–] DirtPuddleMisfortune@feddit.org 45 points 1 day ago (2 children)

When is he starting to wear those nice, shiny medals like the North Korean generals are wearing?

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Nobody managed to fill up both pants legs? Pathetic!

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

6 of those are for basket weaving

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The pants ones are probably from DLC, that's why most don't have them.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Can't wait for the Food That Is Not Rice update

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Oh he's going to manage to fill up both pant legs…

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

...and the Goose Step to march like the f'n Russians and Nazis.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 day ago

Fascism is a parody of itself.

[–] FellowEnt@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago

Watched Inglorious Basterds for the first time the other night

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 92 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This guy has one hell of a trophy obsession.

[–] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 85 points 2 days ago (2 children)

They're all participation trophies, as he can't win anything of real value.

FIFA peace price of "at least you tried". Renewable energy price of "didn't understand the task, but cried when he didn't get a medal".

He's such a weird snowflake

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's the one kid at your birthday party who's upset they're not getting attention too.

And then starts to destroy your stuff because he never learned to cope with frustration.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago

Apparently the participation trophies are fine when they're the ones getting them.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 72 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Its just so fucking stupid on its face. How anyone thought calling it “clean coal” was anything besides dumb as fuck is beyond me.

[–] LowtierComputer@lemmy.world 40 points 2 days ago (6 children)

Then you should visit Colstrip, Montana or similar coal towns. The propaganda works very well when it's taught from before birth and everyone goes along even if they don't agree!

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 22 points 2 days ago (7 children)

See, I understand that. What I dont understand is why every other non-coal town trump supporter didn’t immediately understand that this was a stupid as fuck grift immediately after hearing it.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 14 points 2 days ago

You simply can't criticize your own team.

And that attitude has metastacized into something even worse in the last decade or so.

Meanwhile China is positioning itself as a leader in the energy sectors of the future.

It's depressing to watch these displays, but even more depressing in the knowledge that our nation's power is (as usual) being squandered to make a demented old man feel like a big boy for keeping a handful of billionaires marginally richer with money they'll never actually live to spend anyway.

This was such a comical read! It's like reading a joke made into a serious article:

President Donald Trump has added another shiny award to his cabinet of trophies that have just been invented

"I'm thrilled to welcome to the White House the men and women who light our cities, and you know, you do things that people don't even understand, so much, you do so much. You heat our homes, fuel our factories and turn natural resources into American riches and dreams. Our amazing coal miners.”

“I ended the war on coal,”

It is not the first time Trump has been the “inaugural recipient” of an award presented by those looking to curry his favor.

a bronze statue of a coal miner on the top and was engraved with “Undisputed Champion of Beautiful Clean Coal.”

Infantino also handed Trump “a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go,”

[–] blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 51 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He sure does like his minors

I'm just here so I don't get fired energy

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 19 points 1 day ago

He can put it on the mantle next to Melania's FIFA Oscar for Best performance by a whore in a documentary.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

What a pathetic fucking circlejerk.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 31 points 2 days ago (1 children)

At this point I'm convinced they're inventing shiny stuff to keep the drooling senior happy until it's time to replace him.

[–] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

Agree! It basically says so in the first sentence of the article!

President Donald Trump has added another shiny award to his cabinet of trophies that have just been invented

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 38 points 2 days ago

So he won a made-up award about a made-up technology. Sounds about right.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

At this rate, he's a shoe-in for the Never Poopies in His Pants During Meetings Award of 5-Star Excellence.

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Clean coal makes as much sense as healthy disease

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Donald "Mercury Poisoning" Trump.

Most the mercury in fish comes from fossil fuel burning and mining. Coal is both.

[–] KiloGex@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

What a fucking child.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

The gas lobbyist will turn it up a notch to destroy their energy competitor, coal. Did Krasnov do anything for the black lung victims? I thought not.

[–] XeroxCool@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

This reminds me of how I just flew through India, saw pro-coal ads crediting Modi in the airport, and then walked out into all-winter smog that smells like burning hydrocarbons.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He'll also soon get an award from the foundation that promotes measles and meningitis.

So ‘Undisputed Champion of Utter Fraud’ then.

Someone should offer to present him with "America's most talented child molester" award. At this point he'll probably be dumb enough to accept it, and brag about it

[–] als@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Clean Coal is an oxymoron, like compassionate republican or good cop

[–] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

This is like giving him a participation medal, which is something he and his moronic followers are vehemently against.
