THAT'S the inverted food pyramid brainworms was on about? What even is that what is a tier? This is a triangle of food stuff

It's the meat and diary industry benefiting. There's literally zero scientific evidence that eating more red meat is good for you. Panel behind new dietary guidelines had financial ties to beef, dairy industries.

Putting ground beef so close to the "foods you should eat the most" and peanuts close to "foods you should eat little of" is such malpractice.

Does this mean I should stop having 11 bowls of cereal every morning?

No. Remain ungovernable.

Man, Crate & Barrel is really branching outside of its jurisdiction.

Your pyramid needs more dried fish and foraged berries

It is very funny that the guidelines have literally been flipped on its head since I was in school.

Oh I forgot a paleo freak is in control of the guidelines.

Which is only slightly worse than an agency captures by animal killing industry lobbyists.

The same USDA that had the unhinged transphobic banner during the shutdown? I thought Cards Against Humanity were hardcore radlibs, why are they collaborating with the openly fascist USDA?

how do you read this as per the pyramid shape because I don't get it

[–] thefunkycomitatus@hexbear.net 8 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Some sort of simulacrum. The whole idea of the pyramid was that the width indicates the proportion of your diet. You can also read it as height being the importance to your diet because on a triangle, the width and height correlate. But now it's only a pyramid shape because they need more space to fit the pictures of food. It's hard to even read as purely one dimensional because they mix supposed food groups between layers. Therefore it's only a pyramid because we associate food regulation with the food pyramid. The food pyramid does not exist anymore. Its structure as a way to display information also doesn't exist.

If you look really close it has "one gallon of horse cum" tucked in the protein section, so it's the CAH pyramid for sure
