Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

“Customs and Border Patrol”.
You mean ICE? Someone took shots at ICE while they were in the middle of a randomized deportation?
CBP is actually even worse than ICE. They're a lot more militarized. That Chicago apartment building that was raided with an Apache helicopter, with little kids being put into handcuffs, that was actually CBP.
CBP's operation zone is ridiculous too. They're "border patrol" but they can work deep into the country.
They are limited to 100 miles from the border, but "the border" counts the shoreline, so in reality 2/3 of the population is in that zone.
I've heard that courts have ruled that airports count as "the border" too. So anywhere within 100 miles of an airport. So basically anywhere in the country.

Don't they also count international airports as "the border?" Which changes that number to something like 99.9% of the population.

That doesn't include airports which add any major city not in that red line.
Except the Great Lakes are mostly part of America. Lake Michigan is completely inside The United States, so Illinois is nowhere near the Canadian border.
Chicago isn’t a border city, it’s a coastal city.
O’Hare is a national hub. Meaning it’s an entry point to the US, so technically a “border”.

You misspelled "abduction"
Surprisingly, actually two different agencies. You have CBP (Customs and Border Patrol) which do - customs and border patrol, and ICE (Migration and customs enforcement) which do - mostly immigration stuff.

Is there proof of this outside of their words it happened? I don't believe just their claim alone. They have every reason to lie and not much in the way of morals to refrain.
If someone says this happened, just say "fake news".

Other possibilities include them shooting at citizens or shadowpeople (I'm not here to judge ICE and their use of the drug with the same name) and scaring each other real bad. Then someone has a video of it, and they gotta write a report somehow.

Was it a group of well identified law officers with a warrant and identification or a gang of heavily armed, masked, and aggressive people trying abduct someone?
These days we only see the second group and they should be treated as the criminals they're acting like.

The most effective non-violent action we can take is to organize a General Strike.
The country would be brought to its knees if suddenly deprived of profit and labor. That tactic was extremely effective in Chile in 2019, and had they not fallen for the trick of liberal reform, they would've had a successful revolution on their hands with virtually no bloodshed.
If you aren't in a union (or even if you are, it's worth dual-carding), please consider joining the IWW to unionize your workplace (bonus: you'll get higher wages, better benefits, and more time off if you succeed!) to strengthen a general strike if we manage to enact one, as most unions have a strike fund that can supplement your income during a general strike to make it more financially bearable (you should also save as much money as you can reasonably do, so it can also be used to keep yourself afloat during a strike).
And for our international friends, you should join one as well, as fascism is gaining momentum globally. If your country isn't listed below, just contact the IWW directly in the link above, and they'll help you set up a new local branch.
