Fernet Branca 🤮
Vodka 25 years ago.
Anything anise (e.g. ouzo). Woke up one new years day with an open bottle next to me and the sight of the stuff alone made me almost puke
Whiskey. Over two decades later and I still can't stand it.
Blackberry liquor. I woke up on my porch cradled around half a cooking pot of ramen at like 4 am and no shirt or memory of the last 8 hours. Still don't know what happened to that shirt.
It's funny, it seemed like blackberry brandy was a popular choice for getting fucked up underage drinking back in my day. But I don't think I've ever encountered an adult use of it. Never knew anyone to drink it, or ever saw it in a cocktail recipe.
Same here Tequila. But 15 years late I got one served "by accident" and wouldn't you know it, I'm back baby.
Cutty Sark Scotch.
Sailor Jerry
Southern Comfort. Shared the same initials as my college, and was a Marching Band favorite at all of our various rituals…
That's the one aversion I never got over. I'm not unhappy about it either, if there's to be a thing I can't ever drink, that seems a pretty good choice.
Tequila too.
College. Everyone doing shots. Throwing up in a back alley. Never again.
Pineapple juice. I went to a party in college that had some sort of unholy concoction of jungle juice with a bunch of cheap pineapple juice powder to mask how terrible it was. Completely ruined pineapple juice forever.
Oh Jesus. Jungle juice was a hazy near forgotten memory for me. What a horrible concept. Or at least horrible execution near every time. I may have had one okay jungle juice in my entire college career.
Vodka,
Tried to shot n entire 1 literally bottle at 18 got so sick never again.
Brake clean smells similar enough it makes me gag too
For me it's Goldschlager. Got a bad experience with it and the strong "cinnamon" smell made this aversion last even 20 years later...
Sweet shots like Crown and Jaeger. Cloyingly sweet. I’ll take a bitter burn over that any day.
For about a year it was lambs navy 151 dark rum. It squirmed it's way back into my heart though
I once barfed Jager all down the side of my friend’s white Fiero. This was in 1989. Haven’t touched the stuff since.
I don't drink at all now, but Jager. We drank a lot of it when I was first drinking as a young adult, so much so I even think about how it smells I get nauseous.
Same for me
Was working at a fast food stand at night in my youth (well, for nearly 10 years) and Jägermeister was the only shot we had
So I drank that with the customer
Don't even want to look at it anymore...
I tried it a couple times and never acquired the taste. Although, you’re not the only person I’ve heard say that :D
Gin, I'll drink Malort before I touch gin
I <3 Mallort even though I hate Chicago.
I love Chicago but you can keep rhe Mallort. My big hub of great lakes sleaze
Yeah, gin is probably a personally preference
For me it tastes like perfumed alcohol
I like my alcohol more... honest
I legit love Malort. So delicious. I like gin too, but it gets me riled up. One gin drink max.
I’ve heard others say that too. Interesting!
Downed a whole bottle of Svedka, was drunk the entire next day. Won't touch that shit again.
For me, anything dragonfruit flavored
For seemingly everyone else in my life, they had a bad experience with Fireball when they were young and didn’t know how to pace themselves yet, which sucks because I unironically like Fireball
