The end goal for a lot of these Christian Nationalists who literally are writing laws now is effectively the Handmaid's Tale or worse - all those incels who spent the Obama years memeing about "government mandated girlfriends" might actually make arranged government marriages, or severe economic or political consequences for single women over a certain age, an actual thing.
I recently watched The Handmaid's Tale for the first time. Very good show, but god damn was I uncomfortable.

Not laid with consent at least. But yes, many women are pulling away from dating because the risks are already not worth it depending on where they live.

I think we would hear about a change in, for example, insurance regulation from someplace other than substack. Title is not wrong; but this administration is very willing to say whatever excuse first comes to mind. They are not consistent (or monolithic), except in a desire to make the world much worse.

They have the confidence to say things out loud they would not have previously dared to say, so... yeah, maybe just you.
I'd argue that confidence implies some sort of acceptance of risk. Like how courage is doing something in spite of fear attached to doing that thing.
Stupid asshole nepobaby has never faced real consequences in his life, so none of his actions can really be categorized as confident or brave. Just a potato with a current running through it powering a lightbulb.
Interpretation: Trump ain't getting any so he wants women to withhold sex from all other men as well (as their only means of birth control left is abstinence).
