Not to mention a lot of eggs in one basket. They've built in a lot more redundancies now yeah, but all it takes is a hit to AWS and a shitload of the internet is just DOA. Yeah you can argue about protections and data centers or whatever, but still. It's one big nest in control of one company, no matter how well they guard it, it's still a risk, technical, ethical, or whatever.

Also sounds like you had a crappy realtor. If you're using a realtor, get them to work for you, that's what they're for. Give them the specs of the house you're looking for, sure, but they should be calling you with listings, vetting the homes before they show them to you, handling negotiation relays and inspection setups, etc.

Just general advice, yes you pay them, but if they aren't working for you, pay someone else.

Despite all the interesting advice in this thread the thing that helped me the most was accepting and getting used to the fact that if you're going to lose weight you're going to be hungry.

You're not starving to death, you're not dying, but there are times where you're going to just have to be hungry and deal with it. Our bodies are very good at doing their best to keep us alive, and hunger is our bodies way of saying "we need to look for food". The problem is we didn't evolve that skill at a time when looking for food only takes a few minutes and can involve thousands of calories.

If you're overweight your body is going to sound alarm bells that it's eating into the reserves, but you need to acknowledge that and let the reserves get used so you can lose weight.

As a guy, these apps suck. I've met a few people on them, but it's very obvious that they are deliberately hiding matches and people that are your type behind a paywall. It's not in their best interest to show you people that have the same interests as you, it's better if they bundle them all up and slap a big fat price tag on the front.

People are starting to realize these apps aren't about hooking up or making connections, they're about squeezing desperate people looking for love into giving money for the promise of finding it.

I've often called Target "Walmart without the stigma". They advertise themselves and nice and clean, but it's just Walmart with clients that don't want to be seen going to Walmart.

Not to belittle it on either side but I do wonder what causes that disparity. Is it that men plan it more thoroughly or have access to more dangerous methods? Do women choose methods that, unintentional or not, can be backed out of more easily? Are women more likely to report a failed attempt than men? If that 2-3x factor is true, then why don't we see similar numbers of idk completion? I hesitate to say success because it is very much not a success to commit suicide, there are always other options, even if they're not perfect.

There's significantly less plastic in them, they only have to have a very thin coating to prevent the metal from oxidizing, vs having to be structurally supportive and retain its own shape. On top of that, aluminum is infinitely recyclable

That's the funny part, if I'm the owner, I can do whatever I want. "It's a must"? Too bad, it's my restaurant and I want to sit here. "You're being rude to a customer" I'm being rude to this customer, too bad.

A smaller switch would be a terrible idea. They're already pushing so hard to have mainstream games on the console, and those games have UI elements that can only get so small before they're useless. You'd have to develop your UI around being used on these tiny screens, which either takes extra work or leaves big screen users screwed.

A smaller screen switch would basically be relegated to phone games, and all other games would lose a lot of detail to size

Same as every other time he has tried to stir shit with these trials. All they have to do is keep a level head and let the hammer drop. They've got him, the evidence is there, all they have to do is get the trials to go through with as few hiccups as possible. These judges need to keep a level head and they should be able to do so easily because, despite all the petulant whining and diversionary tactics, they've got him.

After reading all the comments about wanting his life to be over and the counters about feeling bad for him etc. I think ive come to a conclusion on how to ethically handle him.

I'm going to laugh. I'm going to laugh at how foolish he looks having a stroke on stage. How despite all of the terrible things he has done to this country on a socio-economic level trying to line his pockets and stay in power, he is standing up there, feeble and barely coherent, looking like he simultaneously shat himself and forgot his name, I'm going to laugh.

Because if he wants any semblance of dignity, any ounce of respect, he needs to admit that he is done and bow out.

"But he is still human, have some empathy" No, why should I? This man has engineered tearing the country apart so he can put his grubby hands all over it and smear it in his own grease. And he is still trying to keep doing it!

What I see up there is an old man trying to walk across the freeway, with a dozen people telling him not to. And he is not only ignoring them but lifting his nose high and walking out into the road anyway. So when I see that mack truck hit him like it did on that stage, I laugh.
