I was able to get the funds I needed for my rent to be covered as well as the transcription equipment. Good! I have an interview tomorrow, too. I feel pretty nice about it. I talked with the owner of this place on the phone, and he seemed to vibe well. Over the phone, he said to me, "Well, the next step is that, if we decide to move forward with you, we will contact you to set up an in-person interview. I have a few other phone calls, so it might take a minute."

However, despite him saying that it might take a minute, he got back to me the very next morning (the morning of today), saying he wants to see me tomorrow morning. He even apologized for short notice, saying he can see me later if I'd prefer. I told him that I am fine with us meeting tomorrow morning, so that is the plan!

I hope this goes well! Since I'm not sure if the transcription job will definitively work out, I am keeping my options open for now.

Been wanting to ask this question and it came back to my mind with my comment about that white therapist I had: Does anybody else hate seeing/hearing white people be self-proclaimed anti-racists? It's crucial to be materialist during these times.
