TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Me listening to this with headphones:

Legit. This version starts at 11, and then somehow turns it up from there.
Is it live? Or is it Ludicrous Spoed?
this is going on my biking playlist thanks
That's a show with a lot of versions, isn't it? Where would you recommend I start, assuming you recommend it at all!
I think there are two versions, the original was from the 70s and then there was a remake called Space Battleship Yamato 2199. The remake stayed very true to the original but made some improvements, I would wholeheartedly recommend starting there, it's a really great show, the battles get more and more climactic. It gives us the same feel as Battlestar Galactica, in enemy territory against all odds. I believe this remake has some sequels but I haven't watched them
Thank you very much!
There also was a live action movie , released around 2008 or '09, not sure, which I found quite enjoyable. Don't remember if it was actually any good though.

dude, me and so much of cinema
I ended up watching this yesterday, their heart was definitely in the right place but it does need the big budget treatment to work as a live action IMO, and a longer format
If you do give it a shot let me know what you think! I wish I could watch it again for the first time
Can do. I don't watch much (any) anime but I'll toss some eyeballs at this.
The version from the 70s inspired Aum Shinrikyo.
Is that the fucking ZENTRADI?!?!?
You really did it you crazy son of a bitch, you crossed the Mac!
If the Borg ever assimilated a Zentradi, I think it'd have to ride on the outside of the cube.

commander laforge, have acting captain o'brien hook the warp drive directly to the main deflector and fire when ready
They’re gonna need a bigger pattern buffer
Did you ever notice the captain in star trek five is still the captain in star trek six? That's why you mutiny, people.
