If you squint, Korea upside down looks like Jylland

Wells-next-the-Sea in North Norfolk?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 23 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I once pointed out that south korea has essentially been occupied for generations, and the person responded by saying that's just proof koreans are genetically incapable of running a government if north korea is what they do when left to themselves. No I don't talk to that person if I can avoid it .

That person sounds like they're predisposed to being rolled up in a dirty carpet and beaten clean for their shitty opinions

He teaches writing and "communication" to people who want to be teachers, nurses and therapists I think, and writes for a nazi newspaper. I would absolutely roll him up in a carpet and send that carpet to the north atlantic garbage patch if I could. It wouldn't risk any of my grades now any way, he's not staff or knows any staff where I study I think. soviet-hmm

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 13 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I hope to see the return of the People's Republic of Korea in my lifetime.

[–] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That'd be nice. I'd like it to occur with my extended family unharmed as well with whatever form unification takes.

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 8 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Absolutely. I have too many friends and friends with family over on the peninsula. My hope, even if faint, is that waning US influence as an empire will result in the US leaving Korea alone, and gradual reunification. I know that won't happen without some violence, but my hope is that such violence would be minimal compared to the devastation a reignited Korean war would bring.

[–] hello_hello@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

The reason the peninsula is not unified is because Kim Jong Un would win the elections.

The Korea that's not ruled by a small group of wealthy powerful families

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 3 points 4 months ago

Trick question! There is only one Korea, and half of it is occupied mainly by the amerikkkans.
