Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Just release the Epstein files, Pam.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 59 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Yep, total distraction. Why didn't they do this during his first term if this was a thing.

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

I have no hope that we will ever see those files. I do hope however, that this takes on a bit of meme status a la Hell in a cell/undertaker throwing mankind off a cage. Years from now seemingly innocuous sentences will suddenly diverge into a common refrain about the files not being released.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

It took them a while to fabricate the "evidence."

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 99 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I thought if the President does it, it wasn't illegal?

Wasn't that the entire argument since 2017?

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 34 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ah, but they didn't specify which President was "the President".

[–] Archer@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

President (R)

president (D)

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's the Republican motto:

~~"Fuck kids. Yes, literally."~~

Sorry, not that one.

"Rules for thee, but none for me."

[–] Catma@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Classic mistake. It isn"t illegal if the president does it and they are white/orange

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 52 points 1 month ago

Trump is a pedo rapist. Release the files.

[–] satanmat@lemmy.world 49 points 1 month ago

Hey everyone look at this!!

Don't talk about Epstein.

[–] capt_wolf@lemmy.world 45 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] b3an@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Shiny! Ooo. But yeah, what about Epstein?

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 30 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No judge is going to allow this. There's also that nagging bit of the corrupt Supreme Court not allowing President's to be prosecuted, and also that you're a fucking moron trying to stretch and bend what little truth you see to appease a mentally ill old man.

I wonder if she's been told she's going into an incinerator if she doesn't .ake him happy or something. She's really trying to pull this bullshit.

No judge is going to allow this.

Plenty of magats would gladly lynch Obama. Just a question of how many high level bureaucrats firmly believe there will never be another Democrat in charge.

There’s also that nagging bit of the corrupt Supreme Court not allowing President’s to be prosecuted

For Official Acts. Of which the SCOTUS will decide in the end if something qualified

also that you’re a fucking moron trying to stretch and bend what little truth you see to appease a mentally ill old man.

This is America

[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 28 points 1 month ago

Where’s the files Donald?

[–] PleaseLetMeOut@lemmy.dbzer0.com 27 points 1 month ago

Do the DOJ even have a red-yarn budget?

[–] droopy4096@lemmy.ca 23 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Aren't presidents immune from any charges/investigations thanks to POTUS47?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 month ago

it's SCOTUS, and only if they approve of that particular bit of lawlessness.

There is no rule of law with the Roberts "court." It's all arbitrary and rigged.

These Epstein distractions don't even make sense. Guess they never did, but still.

[–] Wazowski@lemmy.world 22 points 1 month ago

How many kids did trump rape?

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 21 points 1 month ago

From the admin that tried to hang Mike Pence, then did pardon those directly responsible.

Also. Release the Epstein Files.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago

Oohhhh no!! Not Obama!! Or Clinton!!! 🤣

What these morons don't understand is that liberals don't worship these rich cunts. If either of them did something illegal I don't give a shit if the law goes after them.

The sad thing is that, even IF they did something they are rich and nothing will happen.

If something did happen though, wouldn't that be a nice precedent to go after politicans / presidents?

Be careful what you wish for, you orange turd.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago

Tie up the courts with this bullshit so they can't release the Epstein files. Basic MAGA playbook. Makes you sick

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

He's grasping at straws doing anything he can to get attention away from me Trumpstein files.

[–] Jolly_Platypus@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

It's a civil war.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

It's not working, proud boy barbie.

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 10 points 1 month ago

Maybe the sub rules say you need to use the exact title, but I feel like the 'breaking' part met be omitted.

[–] Kurious84@lemmings.world 8 points 1 month ago

As they say in the circles of academia. Thats a big crock of horse shit.

[–] ComradeRachel@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 month ago

I guess this was the whole purpose of a grand jury is to stop fraudulent charges

[–] derry@midwest.social 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

The conspiracy is that they tried to tie Trump to Russia as part of the 2016 election. They're not bringing against Obama though because he was POTUS at the time and has immunity per scotus ruling.

Edit: release the Epstein files
