Still working my way through Katabasis by RF Kuang.

I am enjoying it, it does not feel as, I guess, academic as Babel did in that most of what is talked about academically in the book is around classic literature and philosphies about hell.

I think one thing that is going to annoy me with book will be the same as Babel, we have this alternate reality where magic plays a major role in things and i want to explore that so much more. How does it work? How was it discovered? How did it affect things? The book makes direct reference to WW2 and if magic is real to an extent how did it change thingsm

He may just be saying shit at this point. He cannot believe he will finish the story and wants to have as many seeds out there so if someone else finishes it, their bases are covered saying it was all his plan from the start.

Also I remember reading all of these multiple times and my thought throughout was if anyone survives it all it was going to be Sansa.

Not because she was the most sinister or most coniving but because she was always going to be a pawn and would stab the last man/woman standing. It was going to be pure dumb luck she lived through it all.

At this point i honestly think there is no tape or anything compromising.

I think at best Putin promised him that he would get richer if he followed his lead. Trump is 100% stuck in an 80's mentality of money = power = strength = respect. If Putin had any shit on Trump feels like he could have caused even more damage by releasing it the second Biden was sworn in, in 2021.

They will just race bait. Somali's are defrauding your government. Hatian's are eating your cats and dogs again. Venezualian's are all gang members and/or from insane asylums. Mexican's are bringing in drugs. Greenlander's won't let me buy them.

Finished Kingdoms of Death by Christopher Ruocchio this morning. Its the fourth book in Sun Eater series. Glad I stuck with the series the book was really good if not emotionally damaging.

Also started Katabasis by RF Kuang this week. So far book has been pretty fun. Have been enjoying so far but not super far into it.

"Mr. Trump said Wednesday that the ballroom will cost $300 million — up from the $200 million figure that White House officials initially cited."

Fuck it by this time tomorrow its gonna be $400 million if not $500.

Lord Busniess must be happy those meddlesome master builders wont be able to build stuff now.

E.J. Antoni, the chief economist at the conservative Heritage Foundation, whom Trump nominated Monday to lead the federal statistical agency, has repeatedly criticized large revisions to monthly jobs reports under the former commissioner, questioning the legitimacy of the agency’s data over the past year. There is no evidence that the agency has manipulated the data, several former BLS commissioners told The Washington Post.

“Until it is corrected, the BLS should suspend issuing the monthly job reports but keep publishing the more accurate, though less timely, quarterly data,” Antoni said, referring to recent large revisions to monthly jobs data. “Major decision-makers from Wall Street to D.C. rely on these numbers, and a lack of confidence in the data has far-reaching consequences.”
