When he's out of his depth, he blithers.

And he is always out of his depth.

Been reading about Trump's "cognitive decline" since 2017. For some reason, we need to believe his brain is broken in order to explain away his miserable attitude and sadistic policies.

No guys, that's just a normal American billionaire thinking and talking exactly like they all do.

Not on the modern internet. RIP in Peace, Nuance.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No, he's definitely got dementia. Listen to him talk.

[–] Sabata11792@ani.social 13 points 1 day ago

Listen to him sundown post at 3am.

[–] AngryRobot@lemmy.world 31 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Yea, that was more a narcissistic rant than a cognitive slip. He can't get Biden out of his head because Biden beat him in 2020. This whole administration is all about soothing his narcissistic injuries.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

He can’t get Biden out of his head because Biden beat him in 2020

Any perceived slight he can't let go. Take defunding NOAA for example. Was that because he's an evil businessman who wants to dismantle public services so he can grant access to his business cronies, or was it really just because he was once contradicted about drawing a fake hurricane path with a sharpie?

To me the latter case seems somehow worse.

[–] tempest@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago

He can't get them out of his head because he's struggling to create new memories

[–] Greyghoster@aussie.zone 11 points 1 day ago (3 children)

He had a similar problem with Obama. I think he suffers from imposter syndrome which would explain his constant reminders that he is President. Deep down he knows he’s not really up for being the president.

It's not really impostor syndrome - he really is unfit, he's not just imagining it. Definitely some kind of deep insecurity/inferiority complex or something along those lines, though.

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

It's more like narcissistic collapse when he really spirals out. But, no matter, the ghouls around him will make sure that the ICE raids run on time.

Racists really hate it when black people are better at their job than they are

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 day ago

No, he's always been a piece of shit, and stupid. But you can also see he was way quicker and on top of things just a few years ago in videos.

He's just thick as a bucket of pigshit.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 90 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Probably blames Biden for the slow trickle of shit oozing down his leg too.

I think this is a chance at getting peace or it's just going to be the same thing. And I have to tell you, Europe has a lot of spirit for this war. A lot of people, you know, when I first got involved, I really didn't think they did, but they do. And I saw that a month ago when you were there, most of you many of you were there. The level of esprit de corps spirit that they have is amazing.

They really think it's a very, very important thing to do or they wouldn't be doing. Look, they're agreeing to just, you know, they're paying for everything. We're not paying any more. We have an ocean separating us. I said, we have a problem. We have. We make the best stuff, but we can't keep doing this. And Biden should have done this years ago. He should have done it from the beginning. But he didn't.

Sounds like any ol' Trump logorrhea I heard since 2015. And way before that too tbh. I don't mean to say he isn't unwell, just that it's nothing new.

[–] Insane_Turnip@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (3 children)

esprit de corps

I am literally shocked that this stupid embarrassment of a human-like bacteria actually knows what "esprit de corps" means.

[–] Doom@ttrpg.network 27 points 1 day ago

He doesn't someone said it within the last hour or so to him

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 20 points 1 day ago

esprit de corps spirit

It's like his PIN number.

[–] AoxoMoxoA@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He will use that term 25 times in the next week. He definitely just heard someone like vance say it

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 4 points 1 day ago

And every time, he will say "esprit de corps spirit".

You know, folks, I’ve been talking about Sasquatch for a long time. A very long time. And people laughed. They said, “Oh, he’s crazy, he’s making things up.” But I wasn’t. I knew. I always knew. I said it was out there and guess what? Turns out, I was right. Again. I’ve been right from the beginning.

They tried to say it was a bear. A shadow. A guy in a suit. Please. These people, they don’t know. They’ve never been in the woods. They’ve never seen what I’ve seen. I’ve talked to a lot of people, smart people, hunters, trackers, real outdoorsmen. They all say the same thing. It’s out there. And it’s big. Very big.

And I’m not saying this to brag. I don’t have to brag. People already know. They come up to me all the time. They say, “You were right about Sasquatch.” They say it. And the scientists? Total disaster. They can’t explain it. They don’t want to. Because they’re scared. Scared of being wrong.

And now, of course, the media wants to act like they knew the whole time. Too late. You can’t un-be wrong. You were wrong, folks. So wrong. And that’s the truth. Sasquatch is real. Believe me.

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago

This is the same kind of rambling he's always done when he is our of his depth.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Crud, I got dementia just from listening to that , whatever the heck that was....that's it, in tariffing you all reading! You now owe me 50% up votes every time you, and you know I'm right. I'm right, I'm right. Well if I was left....where? Where would someone leave me at If was left? Right? No, that's what I'm saying, 50%. Here on. That's right baby! That's right.

Whait, whoat whas the kuestion?

[–] Vupware@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

Talking about the left, no, we don’t like that. That’s a bad topic. The left is to blame for this war. Crooked Joe Biden is so sleepy all the time that he didn’t even know tue war was going on! I could have ended the war on day one, but Zelenskyy, well, he’s not a very good guy. He doesn’t ask a lot of good questions. When your asking the president of America a question, it better be a good questions. But sleepy Joe, oh man, he’s just awful. This war is all because of him.

[–] you_are_dust@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago

Everything he says belongs on aneurysmposting. It makes me feel like I'm having a stroke.

[–] thelsim@sh.itjust.works 31 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Is he calling him Mark Nato yet?

[–] CatZoomies@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump: “And uh, what’s your name again?”

Mark: “It’s Mark.”

“… Shark?”

“No, Mr. Trump. Mark. Mark, with an M.”

“Got it, Shark. So listen, you’re my good friend, Shark NATO. And we’re gonna get these supplies, even if Crooked Joe couldn’t get this war done like he promised he would.”

[–] ifItWasUpToMe@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago

This is way too clever for so few upvotes

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 27 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Also, didn't he promise to stop the war within 24 hours? This has been the longest 24 hours I've seen.

[–] orbituary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 2 days ago

We're too busy winning.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 22 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So, yeah, it was fucking dumb, and orangeboi is a categorical fucking imbecile, and it’s comically obvious that - up until about a week or two ago - he was infuriatingly russophilic, and disturbingly friendly with Putin.

With that said: it is also absolutely true that Biden slow-walking military aid for Ukraine (largely at the behest of his NS advisor, Jake Sullivan) was an absolute ass-tier strategic play. The constant haranguing of “oh, the F-16s are too complex” (they’re not), “oh, we don’t want to peeve the ruskies too much” (relying on scare tactics is one of the core elements of Putin’s geopolitical playbook), “oh, ATACMS would trigger a real response from Putin” (it didn’t), “oh, we didn’t mean THIS red line, we meant THAT red line” (hello, noncredible defense policy desk speaking, just a moment) has been, since very shortly after the start of the more active phase of the war in Feb 2022, deeply infuriating to a LOT of people, and it served as a milquetoast example of strategic leadership that the EU frustratingly refused to step beyond.

If orangeboi simply says “fuck it” and opens the floodgates for military aid… well, I will still fucking hate the guy for what he’s doing to my country by being in charge of it, but meaningful and significant aid to Ukraine is one hell of a silver lining. I was convinced Putin and orangeboi were just gonna try to slice Ukraine up like a Molotov Ribbentrop pie, but color me very pleasantly surprised that Putin’s intransigence has somehow actually gotten orangeboi to completely lose his patience with Russia.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

I'll believe it when timely and useful deliveries of US weapons actually take place. Until then, my assumption is that Trump remains Puto's bitch.

[–] lack@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

I love watching his brain eat itself in real time. I don't even feel slightly guilty saying it. Everything that man has done since he got back into office has been negative and cynical and damaging to the country and its guests, and I just get a kick out of watching him suffer. I hope to laugh harder at future White House sundowning events.

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 days ago

"This is Biden annnnd .... other people fault" (did he almost blamed his master?)

[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

What the fuck did I just watch…

[–] arin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

United States is cognitively declining as a whole by allowing the current state of affairs to be happening.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not gonna watch this but can Mark please take "Daddy" to the seniors' home already, and keep him there?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

please take “Daddy”

You mean Pig Diddy?
