[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 24 points 1 day ago

That's why Hamas Garfield is coming to save him

[–] Seasonal_Peace@hexbear.net 18 points 1 day ago

Their reply is definitely AI and not just painted over right? The path next to the fence looks weird, the cloud patterns are different, the cars look really modern, everyone is standing in the flowers, it still kind of has the DHS seal in spite of the clouds behind the seal changing.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Do you think there's a world where the lib took the time to actually paint something over the picture?

[–] TheLepidopterists@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago

There's like, a hobby where people get old paintings from goodwill and paint ghosts or aliens or mischievous neighborhood kids or whatever on them. I thought at first that maybe it was that?

Or even just adding existing drawn/painted people in MS paint or something .

In retrospect that was foolish of me.

Wait, are walkable areas good again? I can't keep up with the chuds.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 6 points 1 day ago

Wait, are walkable areas good again?

They are if every single person around is white.

I hate Kinkade so much. When he died, a bunch of my classmates cheered. The amount of times I've been asked "Hey can I commission you to paint something like this?" and shown a Kinkade painting makes me want to vomit.

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 31 points 1 day ago

After Kinkade's death, his wife sought a restraining order against his girlfriend to prevent her from publicly releasing information and photos with respect to Kinkade, his marriage, his business, and his personal behavior that "would be personally devastating" to Kinkade's wife.

thonk

Am I being overly cynical, or are these neoliberal types really disinterested in people of color’s history.

I never expect them to mention Fascist colonialism in Afrasia, but you would think that maybe they’d look more interested in something America-centered, like indigenous people in the era of formal segregation, the relations between Black people and the American tribes, or even just 21st century relations between U.S. citizens of colour. Unless I need to get out more, I never see them casually bring up subjects like those.

Instead, they’d rather applaud alternate history like the Hamilton musical for portraying white historical figures with actors of color, and then there are methods like Bretagne’s where they simply hammer a minority into the scene somewhere and call it a day. There is just something about the neoliberal approach to diversity and inclusivity that feels very artificial.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 17 points 1 day ago

The alternative is unthinkable. The sacred institutions having committed heinous crimes is such a shocking concept, liberals physically can't wrap their heads around it.

Libs want cosmopolitan fascism so bad

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 23 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Unironically they want the Starship Troopers future not the Star Trek future

Edit: and in that future they're all Johnny's parents

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Truly just a difference of movie to them. Chuds want Dredd, libs want Daybreakers or Repo Men, or that Justin Timberlake movie where time is money. Chuds want the visceral thrill of being fascism's bloody fist, libs want the sense of superiority that comes from being fascism's sober accountant. They want the slick polite Umbrella corp fascism, where chuds are the stupid but sometimes useful monsters, and they're Albert Wesker.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Look at my revolution, dawg. Just nothing but impotent ragebait.

Have they learned nothing from the past decades? They'll just laugh it off, call you some nasty insult and then pass around the whole exchange as the next meme.

[–] MayoPete@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

What will it take for libs to get over their fear of pew pews and pick up one... or do anything that isn't just performative virtue signaling?

Especially when the fash are like this (cw: guns)

[–] jack@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago

Wow, that nissan is such a beautiful addition

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 42 points 1 day ago

The pledge is so fuckin weird

I appreciate the drunk driving representation in the redraw

the part where the sidewalk just sort of becomes the street which is completely overwhelmed by cars operating erratically definitely feels more accurate.

[–] LangleyDominos@hexbear.net 32 points 1 day ago

Ironically a lot of his prints were touched up by cheap immigrant labor! Kinkade was truly a pioneer in industrial American kitsch.

I like how it interpreted the school as a church. You can tell by looking at the wind vane.

The only way to make Kinkade's corny garbage worse.

Look at the clouds, just clone stamped.

[–] LaGG_3@hexbear.net 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

People just walking through the damn bushes next to the sidewalk lol

[–] Des@hexbear.net 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

nothing more refreshing then bush-wacking through a suburban flower garden

[–] LaGG_3@hexbear.net 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Especially when you've coordinated outfits with your friend who also has an orange dress

[–] Des@hexbear.net 3 points 22 hours ago

I do not approve of author’s retconning a character’s orientation after publishing to conform with the woke angenda. Either put it in the book or leave it alone.

feeling for the two houses built next to the church in an all-white neighborhood. they better not park their cars on the street
