Iran and Israel have struck each other many times over the last few days. There has been a general focus on military facilities and headquarters by both sides, though Israel has also struck oil facilities, civilian structures and hospitals, and in return for this, Iran has struck major scientific centers and the Haifa oil facilities.

Israel appears to have three main aims. First, to collapse the Iranian state, either through shock and breakdown by killing enough senior officials, or via some sort of internal military coup. Second, to try and destroy Iranian nuclear sites and underground missile cities, or at least to paralyze them long enough to achieve the first and third goals. And third, to bring the US into a direct conflict with Iran. This is because the US better equipped to fight them than Israel is (though victory would still not be guaranteed depending on what Iran chooses to do).

Iranian nuclear facilities are hidden deep underground (800 meters), far beyond the depth range of even the most powerful bunker busters (~70 meters or so), and built such that the visible ground entrances are horizontally far away in an unknown direction from the actual underground chambers. Only an extremely competent full-scale American bombing force all simultaneously using multiple of the most powerful conventional (perhaps even nuclear) bunker busters could even hypothetically hope to breach them (and we have seen how, in practice, American bunker busters have largely failed to impair or deter Ansarallah). There are several analysts on both sides who have concluded that it is entirely impossible to physically prevent Iran from building nukes.

I fully expect the US to join the war. I believe the current ambiguity is a deliberate invention of the US while they work to move their military assets into position, and as soon as they are ready, the US will start bombing Iran. After that, Iran's leadership must - if they haven't already - harden their hearts, and strike back with no fear, or risk following the path of Libya, Syria, and Iraq, either into either surrender, occupation, or annihilation. Every day where they do not possess a nuke is a day where lives are being lost and cities are being bombed.

Bernie Sanders has introduced legislation to prevent Donald Trump from initiating a war with Iran

https://xcancel.com/SenSanders/status/1934764532137906212

Tonight, I introduced legislation to stop Trump from from leading us into an illegal war with Iran.

Another war in the Middle East could cost countless lives, waste trillions more dollars, and lead to even more deaths, more conflict, and more displacement.

One potential hypothesis, highly unlikely but non zero possibility: could Israel be using "nuclear blackmail" against the United States?

Sounds wild and highly unrealistic, but here me out. We know that Israel cannot destroy or even damage Fordow with conventional weapons, but Israel could have low yield tactical nuclear weapons with an Earth Penetrating Warhead (EPW). Israel also says that they have their "own plan" to deal with Fordow. What if Israel's "own plan" is to use nuclear EPWs on Fordow, and Israel is telling the US that if they don't send in the B-2s with the conventional GBU-57 MOP bunker buster to bomb Fordow, that Israel will use nuclear EPWs on Fordow. A form of "nuclear blackmail". The Zionists might just be mad enough to pull something like this.

Crazy the US was able to obviously position their B2s from across the world and bomb the most obvious targets and Iran wasn't able to do a thing to stop it.

They're an impressive tool of evil, no doubt.

CNN

WhatsApp responds to Iranian government's warning to residents to stop using the app

WhatsApp is concerned by the Iranian government’s warning to residents to stop using its app, a spokesperson for the company said in a statement Tuesday. Earlier Tuesday, Iran’s state-run news agency IRIB reported that the Iranian regime warned people to stop using WhatsApp, Telegram and other “location-based applications,” saying that they are some of Israel’s “main methods to identify and target individuals.”

“We’re concerned these false reports will be an excuse for our services to be blocked at a time when people need them the most,” a WhatsApp spokesperson said The spokesperson stressed that WhatsApp does not track users’ precise location and that all messages are end-to-end encrypted.

“All of the messages you send to family and friends on WhatsApp are end-to-end encrypted, meaning no-one except the sender and recipient has access to those messages, not even WhatsApp. We do not track your precise location, we don’t keep logs of who everyone is messaging, and we do not track the personal messages people are sending one another,” the spokesperson said.

“We do not provide bulk information to any government,” the spokesperson said. “For over a decade, Meta has provided consistent transparency reports that include the limited circumstances when WhatsApp information has been requested.”

A lot of talk about the Fattah-1 missile given the latest Iranian statements. I guess they were waiting for some night time footage of an impact before releasing a statement.

In truth, it's not the first time this missile has been used during this round of the conflict, Fattah-1 booster stages popped up in Syria a day or two ago. Images here. Ansarallah/Houthis in Yemen have also fired Fattah-1 missiles at Israel, images of that here. It also saw extensive use during Operation True Promise II last year October.

Fattah-1 is a Maneuverable Re-entry (MaRV) capable ballistic missile. What makes it different from other MaRV capable ballistic missiles with the range to it Israel, like the Kheibar Shekan series and Qassem series, is the inclusion of a thrust vector control rocket motor on the MaRV itself, with 30-40 seconds of burn time. This can be used to improve terminal flight performance (higher speeds or longer glide phase), or to allow exoatmospheric maneuvers to be performed for 30-40 seconds, you need rocket power to maneuver when outside of the earth's atmosphere, there is no air for the control surfaces to work.

Fattah 1 MaRV.

If you want a video of how MaRV capable ballistic missiles like Fattah-1 look in action, I've only found one that fully showcases it, from Iran's Operation True Promise II October attack on Israel, showing MaRVs performing pull up maneuvers, level flight, and then diving towards the target. Then a second phase of more conventional ballistic missiles approaches (at around 1:04 at much higher altitude), showing the difference. It's actually quite an interesting video that went under the radar in regards to this.

Twitter link for video

A 27 page document detailing all the different types of ballistic missiles

Fattah-1 would be a "category 4" system here according to the document.

checked what kind of stuff the Polish osint guy was saying yesterday...

  • With Russian help, Syria had well developed anti-air capabilities under Assad. Israel destroyed all of it half a year ago after the coup. Iraq has no anti-air capabilities and they recently complained to the UN about Israeli planes illegally using their airspace but of course no one in the 'international community' is doing anything about that.

  • A while ago Iran bought an unknown amount of Su-35S fighter planes from Russia and 4 to 6 were delivered in March 2025 but Iranian air force pilots still haven't finished training on them. Israel has showed some footage of damaged Iranian F-14s but apparently they already weren't in a flying state anyway. Iran's planes are generally dated (F-14, F-4, MiG-29).

  • About destroying Iran's anti air capabilities early on in the war.. Iran's most advanced radar/anti-air warning systems were destroyed by Israeli commandos using FPV drones and Spike NLOS missiles. This and some other attacks on long range radio location stations created holes in Iranian coverage which Israeli F-35s entered and fired off some special anti-radio location missiles to damage other anti-air targets (I'm not clear on this part). Only after all that, they sent in F-15D and F-16I Sufa planes to attack other targets. Aside from that, plane hangars, runways, and anti-air command centers were all damaged (for example runways in Kermanshah and Mashhad).

  • Iran shot down an expensive Israeli Hermes 900 drone and a few smaller things but there's currently no proof of Israeli planes being shot down.

  • Iran has a wide assortment of ballistic missiles (like Sejjil or Emad), they've been preparing to defend against a US/Israel attack for a long time. There are between 10 and 20 underground 'missile cities' in Iran with missile launchers inside set up like a conveyor belt. In the first few days of the war Iran was launching 40-50 ballistic missiles and now it's at 10-20, they also recently started using the newer ones like Fattah and Sejjil. Initially the Israeli interception rate was 85-90%, but the rate didn't increase when the missile count went down to 10-20. The interception rate during the last strikes on Be'er-Sheva and Tel Aviv was 65%. Iran is assuming this is going to be a long war so they used their oldest missiles first and those were easier to intercept because they're less technologically advanced. Plus Iranian engineers are constantly making improvements to the tech as the war goes on.

  • Some photos of the interior of the underground missile bases:

  • Some Israeli military and dual use locations where we have visual proof that Iranian strikes did damage:

    • Ben Gurion airport (shut down/passenger planes moved to Turkey).
    • Tel Nof airbase (tech zone hit/anti-air hit).
    • Palmachim airbase (tech zone hit/anti-air hit).
    • The Mossad building (lots of equipment burned).
    • IDF C4I cyber command headquarters.
    • Weizmann Institute of Science (completely destroyed/killed some scientists too based on obituaries).
    • Rafael weapons factory in Haifa.
    • Haifa refinery (few hits/disabled).
    • Haifa power plant.
    • Be'er-Sheva Tech Park (used for software development for drones).
    • Soroka Medical Center (military hospital/there are also other military objects around this building).
  • One Chinese Il-76 transport plane landed in Iran, but only once apparently (or one every day? I couldn't tell), equivalent of '4 trucks worth' of goods, not known what but it's not much overall.

  • A Chinese intelligence gathering ship has entered the Persian Gulf but that's fairly common behavior during wars because during war planes will emit extra signals and it's valuable info to capture, for example to help with signal jamming.

  • The Fordo facility in Iran is 100m deep and the US's GBU-57 MOP bomb has a reach of between 40m (if rock mass/granite) or 60m (if reinforced concrete). Some experts are arguing the US would have to drop a second bomb into the crater of the first one. It weighs 13-14 tonnes so only a B-52 or a B-2 can carry it. In Yemen the US used B-2s to drop these.

  • Some US military being re-positioned: 3 US carriers (and with them their accompanying 'carrier groups' I guess..), 40 Boeing KC-10s, 15-20 F-22 Raptors, a few dozen F-35s moved from Europe (for example the Aviano air base in Italy), some F-16s moved from bases in the UK, 4 B-52s moved to Diego Garcia, and some B-2s could be joining them soon. One air base in Saudi Arabia currently has around 150 US planes. A UK carrier also got moved.

  • The way it's going he expects the US will enter the war soon, as soon as Saturday night this weekend.

Important to note that Iran has the type of army that many "alt media experts" think is the future: tonnes of one way attack drones, thousands of ballistic missiles, and almost no air force. Israel has the army that "alt social media experts" call outdated and silly: strong airforce, lots of manned aircraft and stealth aircraft, lots of stand in and stand off air launched munitions and reconnaissance drones.

Yet the "outdated" Israeli Airforce is dropping bomb after bomb on Tehran and missile cities in Western Iran using manned fast jets, and not a single "game changer" one way attack drone has landed a hit on Israel yet. The ballistic missiles get through, but there's little counterforce targeting taking place.

Lesson: don't listen to so called experts in the alt media space that think one way attack drones can replace an airforce. After the war, Iran needs to build a strong conventional military and air force like Poland (over 30 stealth aircraft in order) or Pakistan (rumoured J-35 customer) for deterrence, it's clear that one way attack drones can't replace an airforce. Thank goodness China is building lots of manned stealth aircraft, J-20, J-35, J-36, J-50, at least China knows better than the alt media experts.

Colombian Senate approves Petro's labor reform. On Tuesday, the Colombian Senate approved President Gustavo Petro's labor reform bill, which was rejected in April and revived after the leftist president held a popular consultation to put his proposal to a vote. The upper house approved the reform with 57 votes in favor and 31 against.

The bill included all the key points that the Petro government considers vital. The labor bill is one of the flagship reforms of Petro, a former guerrilla who was elected Colombia's first left-wing president in 2022. The initiative calls for the working day to end at 6pm and not 9pm, as is currently the case, for some informal jobs to have access to Social Security and for a special fund to be set up to guarantee pensions for peasants, among other points.

The text was approved in the absence of opposition senator Miguel Uribe, a pre-candidate for the presidency, who has been hospitalized in critical condition for over a week after being shot during a campaign event in Bogotá. In Tuesday's session, senators rejected for the second time a government initiative to have Colombians decide at the ballot box on the future of the labor reform, proposed when the Senate failed to adopt an initial legislative bill on the issue in April.

But Petro, who by decree last weekend called for a popular consultation with 12 questions on the labor reform, insisted that the measure “remains in force” until Congress approves the government's bill. As the text approved by the Senate has some changes compared to the one adopted last October by the Chamber of Deputies, there now remains the conciliation procedure between the two chambers. The Constitutional Court has yet to rule on the legality of calling the consultation by decree, scheduled for August 7.

And just after I posted about little to no images from Iran, the first images of Israeli airstrikes on the Arak heavy water nuclear facility have appeared online. So Israel did hit something there. On the off chance anyone on here lives nearby or has friends or family in Arak, please tell them to stay inside and close doors and windows if possible. There is a very real possibility of radioactivity, even if the facility was/is inactive as suspected. It's a completely above ground facility, there won't be any containment of the radiation underground. This is very serious, radiation sickness is no joke, stay inside with windows and doors closed.

Geolocation source

This is very worrying and I really hope that there's no radioactivity... What a nightmare

According to Israeli sources, Netanyahu is still in an Israeli security council meeting, for over two hours now, and waiting on the announcement from president Trump.

They also said this:

Our team has worked extremely hard on the exclusives we've provided in the past, and so far, they've all proven true in some capacity.

Eventually, we'll fail, and we truly hope that this latest exclusive is wrong, given its implications for the region.

CNN goes inside a building struck by an Iranian missile near Tel Aviv

CNN’s Jeremy Diamond gained access to a residential and commercial building destroyed by an Iranian ballistic missile in Ramat Gan, just to the east of Tel Aviv. The impact damaged buildings and cars in nearly every direction around the blast radius. The missile, which struck the location just east of Tel Aviv shortly after 7 a.m. local time, shredded the facades of buildings and blew out windows in high-rise blocks.

It's very old news that CNN is hasbara. But I think the ~60s vid is a classic example and very effective propaganda. The reporter talks about the damage but he makes no mention of what Iran's target was. And - of course - the reporter doesn't mention how Israel puts military assets in and around Tel Aviv. An American normie would look at the vid and probably think that Iran was willy-nilly lobbing missiles at Israel.

Muslim Brotherhood Acting Leader Salah Abdul Haq in a message to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei:

• “Israel seeks through these strikes to retaliate against Tehran’s support for the Palestinian resistance, alongside strategic goals aimed at weakening centers of power in the region, with direct backing from the United States and other Western countries stunned by Israel’s defeat on October 7, 2023.”

• “The occupation’s fire does not discriminate between the nation’s ethnicities or sects. Expanding the aggression to include the Islamic Republic is an attempt to eliminate the resistance’s support base, whether states or movements, foremost among them the Muslim Brotherhood.”

• “Our enemy is one — the Israeli entity — and our primary weapon must be the unity of the Islamic nation.”

• “We should overcome internal differences and focus efforts on confronting the occupation.”

• “We praise the sacrifices of the nation in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran,” stressing that these sacrifices “impose on everyone a historic responsibility to strive for unity and comprehensive joint Islamic action.”

OIL FUTURES EXTEND LOSSES, U.S. CRUDE DOWN BY $3 AND BRENT CRUDE DOWN BY $2 A BARREL AS IRAN SEEKS TALKS WITH U.S. AND ISRAEL TO END HOSTILITIES

It would seem like there is an attempt in the western block to create a narrative that the Iranians are attempting to deescalate. This runs counter to other sources I've seen that are more Iranian aligned unless anyone else out here has some decent sources backing up the above claims. My best guess is US is looking for an off ramp since the current violence is causing too much uncontrollable instability for the entity or they're providing cover for the Nimitz and other assets in order to surprise Iran like they did last week. At this point I'm actually pretty optimistic that the turn of events over the weekend were not within US calculations and now they're scrambling to adjust, hopefully with more severe consequences down the line.

On the trucks that were outside Fordow in the days prior. It looks like this was an excavation and material/soil transportation effort to fill the entrances and exits with soil in anticipation of a US strike, to try prevent them from collapsing and entombing Fordow. (The US did this kind of attack with cruise missiles at the two other sites, Natanz and Isfahan, and they said that two GBU-57 MOPs were dropped on Natanz as well, no images of that yet though). The trucks outside of Fordow are dump trucks with empty open box cargo beds/tippers, likely after offloading soil/earth to fill up the entrance and exits. The problem is, that at Fordow, the US didn't even bother to attack the entrances and exits, they dropped at least six bombs, with some sources stating up to twelve, directly at where the cascade and enrichment facilities were located.
