i know they are basically under siege from western backed insurgency but i can't help but think this might have the nice side effect of building a massive popular front to back the government. the kind that might form dedicated militias and stuff
They already pretty much have that going on, people outside the country have his support so it's just a matter of getting the domestic supporters equipped and organized to defend the movement.
God, Lenin, fucking ANYONE protect this man and ensure a swift victory for the Burkinabe armed forces against the fascists and insurgents trying to tear him down.
Impressive considering they probably have to spend a lot of their time and resources fighting off ISIS, IIRC they are making a real big comeback in the region
