Apparently there's a music video too lol

The Glong Song

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Shouldn't use because of the lead powder

[–] tiddy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Pretty sure that bong is literally plastic

(With a low melting point at that)

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

Well that depends what you print it with! Yeah it's usually PLA+, but also "shouldn't use it because since weed is still federally illegal somehow, the second you do it becomes a felony. Also you can't get a good grip on it, despite it only taking 'stendos, because of the bong placement so it's sorta uncomfortable.*"

*actually this appears to be a remix, takes normal mags and bong placement isn't the same, my mistake.

Have you ever met anyone actually from Vermont? Can you name a single city or place in Vermont? No, because its a mythical place which doesnt exist.

[–] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 2 points 1 hour ago

I've met Bernie. You're thinking of Montana that doesn't actually exist.

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago

I knew someone who moved there, then they ceased all communication. So seems very plausible.

[–] Monstrosity@lemm.ee 33 points 1 day ago (1 children)

TIL guns are banned in blue states.

[–] BigDiction@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Gen 5 Glocks and a load of other popular handgun models are illegal for sale in California except to law enforcement and Hollywood. The Handgun Roster

There’s also the assault weapon ban that’s too complicated to explain quickly.

[–] Takumidesh@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

For sale, but not to own and you can buy it off roster as well.

Even the strictest state is less strict than most countries.

[–] BigDiction@lemmy.world 6 points 18 hours ago

True CA is still less strict than most countries. I’ll note ‘off roster’ means imported with a magazine with 10 rounds or less, and sold through a private transaction at an FFL for a significant markup.

Nice little side hustle for more than a few cops.

[–] hobovision@lemm.ee 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

There are 54 Glock models that are certified for sale in CA. Almost 1000 models from all manufacturers are certified. Plus private party transfers are legal, meaning you can just bring one in or have a friend give you one.

[–] BigDiction@lemmy.world 3 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (2 children)

Thanks for the quick internet search but that is not how it works in reality. You cannot really just buy a Gen5 Glock 19 in Nevada and bring into California. You need to convert the mags to 10 rounds or less or bring it in mag-less. Then sell it through a private transaction. This usually comes at huge markup.

The 54 models you cited are all from Gen 3 or older. Why? They need to go through special testing for ‘safety’. Naturally law enforcement is exempt from these requirements.

The California Handgun Roster is an attempt to circumvent constitutional protections on handgun ownership by not implementing a strict ban. I get a lot of folks on Lemmy want to see guns banned but imo these laws use the same tactics as voter suppression in the US.

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

"Safety" lol. Quick question, are the P320 and the Nambu Type 94 on the roster?

[–] BigDiction@lemmy.world 1 points 4 minutes ago

P320 was just added in 2024 I believe. Sig added a few different models specifically for sale in California.

I had to look up the Numbu. Is anyone making these new? Roster only applies to newly manufactured firearms. As long as the mag is 10 or less you can buy one through an FFL.

[–] superniceperson@sh.itjust.works -1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

You're on lemmy, not reddit. We don't want gun control laws. Or any weapon control laws.

Anything the workers can't have will be used against us, nuclear proliferation among states until there are no states, gun proliferation among workers until all of us are workers.

[–] yeather@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 minutes ago

Sorry to say it but you are in your echo chamber. Large parts of Lemmy are still the braindead vote blue no matter who redditors you know and tolerate.

[–] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 48 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Great for the joke, but this looks 3d printed. I don't even touch acrylic bongs, I would not smoke through heat receptive plastic.

[–] DeathsEmbrace@lemm.ee 20 points 1 day ago (2 children)

If it is 3D printed do not use them for bongs. Most of those plastics will give you lung cancer. If not a healthy reoccurring dose of microplastics.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (3 children)

3D printed butt plugs are 100% safe though. /s

[–] Takumidesh@lemmy.world 3 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

The nature of 3d printing means that printed parts can be prone to layer separation which means that your flared base may become separated after a fierce session.

Just a warning that 3d printed toys can be very dangerous to anyone thinking of using one, as tempting as it may be.

[–] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 1 points 1 hour ago

Definitely a million reasons to not use a 3D printed buttplug, but as to this point you could print it sideways so the layering is horizontal instead of vertical.

[–] ModestCrab@lemmy.wtf 20 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I saw the sarcasm tag and just want to insert that your butt plug should explicitly say medical grade silicone, or glass or metal.

If you can smell anything after you wash it out of the box, then it’s releasing compounds as part of it’s manufacturing process and you shouldn’t stick it up your ass

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

your butt plug should explicitly say medical grade silicone, or glass or metal.

I'd also add that some metals are considerably worse than others. I'd especially not recommend lead, arsenic, or mercury buttplugs

[–] FooBarrington@lemmy.world 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

But mercury buttplugs are my favorite party trick! And it's safe since I'm not breathing in the fumes.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

Sounding with gallium is the best

[–] otacon239@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Gallium would only be fun for a few seconds

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

To everyone: just get an njoy PurePlug. Trust me. Source: buttplug collection

[–] HelixDab2@lemm.ee 3 points 17 hours ago

Those ones are great. The shape is fantastic, comfortable for all-day wear, if that's your thing. Also, their large one is larger than any other metal plug I've seen. They're remarkably hard to find though; searching for NJoy mostly brings up cups, straws, and plastic lids.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

don't kink shame

Best toy is the one attached to a human I heard

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ok, fair, but you're still inhaling combustion by-products. That's not great either.

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world 4 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, but why add more carcinogens when you don't have to?

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

In case you dont have enough already ?

[–] HelixDab2@lemm.ee 3 points 17 hours ago

Oh, yeah, that's Yeezy. He designed it and posted it, IIRC, on the gatalog. Cool dude. He keeps getting tossed off IG for posting leftist shit. You can find some of his videos here.

[–] yesman@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

I love novelty guns. It just drops all the pretense and admits that our culture sees these objects as toys.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

US troops in Vietnam using a shotgun as a bong.

[–] Please_Do_Not@lemm.ee 6 points 1 day ago

That's just being used as a tube making the normal pipe longer. A bong has a chamber for water that the smoke passes through.

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It would be even better if the mouthpiece was at the barrel and the trigger activates a built in lighter near the bowl piece. Maybe make a vape version as well where the barrel is the mouth piece and the magazine is the chamber.

[–] mx_smith@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Can you imagine trying to clean a real bong like this. I would throw it out after a month.

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Frequent cleanings would be necessary i think.

[–] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'd advise against that for muscle memory reasons mostly.

But more to the point, this looks like it was designed to be a functional gun and a functional bong. Probably not a good gun or bong, but it does both.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

I can just imagine someone getting too high and forgetting which part is the mouthpiece.

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

If you can't tell the difference between your glong and your glock you probably shouldn't own either.
