I have learned to never try and be clever by putting things in weird places; I never remember where they are. Now I just leave them in the middle of my table or right by my front door
I'm a big fan of putting shit by my shoes if I know I need it the next day.
I just ask myself where is the dumbest place I could put something.
So far I think my dumbest is keys in the fridge.
That's fairly impressive.
