Rules
-
Our goal is to rapidly increase the population of /c/traa while maintaining true to an anti-capitalist and radically trans positive nature. Our rules can and should rapidly change to reflect this goal and to build a truly diverse and inclusive community as problems arise. The rules for now will be relatively barebones and may expand as time goes on, Hexbear code of conduct applies.

We want you to bring your trans friends, so bring a friend! Its the law!
Musings on expanding the Hexbear transgender population
-
I think its important to try to bring more trans people here due to hexbears inclusive atmosphere. Reddit and other social media sites are prone to harassment of openly trans users and the site admins don't like banning these harassers, this is obviously different on hexbear. Having a space that is radically trans inclusive can be good for some people's mental health. There really aren't many places like this on the internet, and many places that are trans-made spaces don't meet this criteria.
-
We will need to find trans content creators and mention the existence of /c/traa so they can spread their content. Brooke Valley is a good example of someone to notify. Content creators should be given a lot of leeway and support, we might try pinning original content regularly to incentivize engagement.
-
Create posts on Hexbear and then post the image links to trans spaces on reddit and other social media. Then, create a comment to link to the thread.
-
Find highly active users and spread info that c/traa exists. Trawling /r/tra, /r/tra2, /r/egg_irl, and /r/LateStageGenderBinary for these users is a good idea. We will eventually create a day where we fish for users across the internet and will focus our efforts on one area or the other. I believe we'll create some sort of bounty system for this where we'll call out posts by users that had high interactivity and give them fun little internet medals or something silly like that and have a scoreboard for it.

We need posts. We need a lot of posting. Post. POST.
SEO
-
Currently brainstorming a way to SEO our way onto Google search. We need to use any tool available to us to maintain anti-capitalist sentiment in the trans community and insure trans people are being directed to properly safe places to avoid myriad vectors of harm.
-
There aren't a whole lot of foreign language trans spaces. I think translating posts and rule content into foreign languages might help foster foreign language engagement/SEO and help us increase our understanding of our community abroad. I think this might be easier than English SEO.
Moderators
- As for moderators, I am obviously looking for trans/gender diverse people that are dedicated socialists and have been on hexbear for some time. If you are able to speak multiple languages, thats a huge plus and you should mention it. I'd like to have many kinds of trans experiences represented by the mod team, if you feel like your corner of the gender spectrum is under-represented generally, step up! Please post below what criteria you meet and what ideas you have for this comm. Will be going over and reading each application over the next week or so.
